Kitchen makeover

We purchased the slide-in range to replace a 12 year old builder's grade range. Our new Frigidaire range has so many new features we have not used them all yet. However, we like it's ability to heat up quickly and the multiple burners. The black glass cooktop is really space age pretty but shows every smudge and spill so we are always cleaning it. One issue we have is that the range runs for a long time after use venting the heated oven air from the top of the door area into the kitchen after the oven is turned off. Our previous "cheap" oven shut off more quickly and did not vent from the front. I view the venting as a poor design choice. Otherwise, we are very happy with the range and it meets our expectations.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Irritating Fan

However, every time you turn a burner on the cooktop it activates an internal fan that cools the controls in the front. This is the only glass cooktop we have owned that has this feature and we found it very irritating.

Would not buy again.

Plastic knob base, is just a few inches away from heat coil. A larger hot pan touched the plastic and it melted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I brought this to go in my newly redone kitchen. I love the looks and that there was a microwave to match it. Both of them have excellent features and make cooking a pleasure.

Eyes actually get HOT!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second new slide in range that I have purchased in the last 5 years. The other was another brand name but I was unable to fry foods properly due to the eyes not getting hot enough. There is a night and day difference between this stove and my previous stove.
