Plastic Not Smart

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooktop is very hard to clean. Yes, we got the special cleaner. And the front of the oven that has the controls is made from plastic (why would you make a stove with this material?!?) and if any hot splatters on it or a hot utensil or other comes in contact, it will melt the plastic. It's black plastic over white so if the plastic melts then white shows through. Unbelievable choice of materials to make a HOT stove out of.

Sleek & Chic and great features

As we was very happy with Frigidaire we decided it was a no brainer on what model to go with. The new range has great features and looks so sleek. Easy to use and easy clean up. So far we are very satisfied.

Well built!

Since the control board could not be replaced, the entire range was replaced with this new Gallery model. It was a perfect fit and is functioning beautifully. Highly recommend the Frigidaire Service/ Warranty contract. Proved very valuable.

Nice range, but doesn't fit counter height

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the front-mounted controls and easy-to-clean glass top; however, there is a gap between our counter top and the side of the range. There should be a trim kit available like other manufacturers have to fill the gap.

Nice looking stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this stove 1 year and 17 days ago, so guess what, it is not covered under warranty. Although the stove looks nice I am not pleased. I replaced an older Frigidaire slide-in stove with this one and it did not fit. I had to have my counter top cut (1/4 to 1/2 inch on each side). Now almost exactly one year later one of the stove eyes is coming on by itself. I am very concerned that I cannot go on vacation or leave the house for long. It is not an easy chore to un-plug a slide-in stove. Considering how much we had to pay for this stove you would think it would be of better quality and would last more than a yea.

Great stove but...

Overall this stove looks great and works great. Cooking functions work well. But, the cheap plastic used on the front panel melts very easily and is right next to the cooking surface. So if you slide a pot or pan too close it melts the plastic and exposes the white underneath. Why this wasn't made of metal or a heat resistant plastic is beyond me. A service tech was nice enough to replace the melted piece but I'm sure it will happen again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Top and fan are problem areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks very pretty in the showroom but at home is very labor intensive. The top shows every little mark and speck of dust. I purchased new cookware especially designed for this type of cooktop. Unfortunately, the fan vibration makes pots that are not completely full move around on the top. The fan is extremely noisy and emits cool/cold air from vents located just above the door opening. It is very annoying to have the air blowing into your face and chest while cooking. If you walk away you risk boil overs and waste a lot of time cleaning up the mess.
The edges of the door and drawer are very sharp. The bottom drawer is difficult to pull open. The control panel makes a lot of loud clicking sounds but those are somewhat muffled by the noisy fan,
Disappointed to say the least. Wish the showroom had a working display. It would have saved me from making this mistake.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

a big mistake

So sorry I bought this overpriced piece of junk. It's glass top is uneven front to back. The shelves are ridiculously hard to manage. it didn't even include a broiler pan and if you broil you have to move the shelves around. Still can't get the timer to work properly. Difficult to get the new cookware to fit the various and different size circles Way too much money for the problems I'm having and I would recommend no one to buy the same model.

To set the minute timer:
1. Press timer on-off. -- -- will appear and the timer will flash in the display. Press the number keys to set the desired time.
2. Press start. The time will begin to count down and Timer will stay in the display. When the time expires, End and Timer will show in the display. The clock will beep three times every 30 seconds until timer on-off is pressed.
3. To cancel the minute timer before the set time expires, press timer on-off.
