Compact size with simple functionalities

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted a very small footprint on countertop to use for quick coffee heating and food cooking. We have currently a built-in drawer microwave and it requires several tasks to open/close drawer and timer to heat a small plate/coffee mug in a large, unnecessary cook space. The functions are straightforward and easy to operate. Very satisfied with this product.

Clear Glass door is Opaque, foggy not clear

2 weeks ago I purchased Microwave WMC20005YD, to replace the same model we had for almost 10 years. Our new microwave is defective, it creates so much fog during process, you cannot see through the glass door window.
Today I contacted Whirlpool Live chat. They said its normal!!!!! Over 30 years I used different Models , brands and never had this problem- opaque glass
I got defected microwave and cannot return

Little Giant among Countertop Microwaves!

We purchased this unique microwave (model WMC20005YW-0) over 10 years ago for a kitchen countertop corner, having dumped our over-the-stove microwave in favor of a dedicated hood. This model was exactly what we needed at a reasonable price.
We've have since moved and had it placed inside of a kitchen cabinet, convenient but hidden. It has worked flawlessly until now…the turntable has stopped rotating…hoping to have it fixed. One incredible little machine!
Kudos to Whirlpool!

Perfect size

I read other reviews that said the power cord was black, so I was concerned if it would work for us. However, the power cord is white, which is very nice.

Idiotic interior light can't be replaced.

Can't replace interior light. Dumbest design ever conceived. Not only is the interior light not accessible for replacement, but the specs indicate the light is an incandescence. Can you say "planne3d obsolescence"? I have lots of good things to say about this microwave, but the idiotic design of the light is the only attribute you need to know about.
