Looks good. Perfect sm size. High door is useful

We’ve owned for 6 years, then circuit board went bad. Even though I wished it lasted longer, plan to replace with same. PERFECT size and shape for small kitchen. Looks good. Pretty decent power for a small unit. BEST thing about it is 3” high door - you can actually have items in front of the microbe and be able to open door. Frees up a lot more counter space. Hard to believe Whirlpool is the only company to make a microwave oven like this.

Wave plate cover caught on fire

issue with the Wave Cover Plate
I had two of these microwaves over the last five, and both had issues with wave cover plate that caught on fire. While I do like the compact design and performance, it has faulty design and can easily get damaged

Beware: microwave catches fire

I experienced a dangerous incident with this Whirlpool microwave. While heating a bowl of soup, I observed sparking along the interior walls of the microwave. These sparks then erupted into flames that spread across the inside of the unit. This occurred during normal use with a standard microwave-safe bowl.
The incident could have resulted in serious damage or injury if not caught immediately. I strongly advise prospective buyers to consider other options for their safety. The product appears to have serious safety issues that make it unsuitable for use in any kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Idiotic interior light can't be replaced.

Can't replace interior light. Dumbest design ever conceived. Not only is the interior light not accessible for replacement, but the specs indicate the light is an incandescence. Can you say "planne3d obsolescence"? I have lots of good things to say about this microwave, but the idiotic design of the light is the only attribute you need to know about.

Great compact size and attractive shape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this but weren't sure whether we were going to need it. We wanted to see how the sliver would look and where in our kitchen we could put it. We loved the shape and the color. The front portion looks almost like stainless steel, the rounded back portion is more of a grey. We decided not to go for a countertop model but this one was adequate size for heating dinner plates, bowls of soup, pizza slices or just a cup of coffee.

Great Corner Countertop Microwave
