Perfect size for my small kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is actually my second microwave purchase of this model. The first one lasted 7+ years before it starting acting up. I considered other sizes, but the round back makes this model fit perfectly in the corner of my kitchen.
What I like:
- simple to use: just one extra button for popcorn (which gets used a lot in our house)
- fits a dinner plate
- has a rotating turntable that is easy to remove and clean
- has an interior light to see what's cooking
- easy to clean
What could be improved:
- I REALLY wish the front face of the door (black outline) was more MATTE finish like the bottom panel where the buttons are because the shiny black shows EVERY fingerprint, and I am wiping it down many times a day; or my true preference would be to make the entire front a brushed silver finish to match the sides--I chose silver--and that would alleviate the fingerprints.
- I wish there was a way to either mute the beeps or choose low/high volume
- for such a simple microwave with very few features I think it is quite expensive

I found that by placing the microwave on top of a silicone mat it is much steadier when opening the door--the microwave does not move. All in all I recommend this microwave; perhaps Whirlpool will listen to my suggestions. ;-)

Died slowly in first year

Do not buy this! I was so tempted by the size that I ignore the bad reviews. Don’t be like me! After the first 6 months, it started to power off after a few minutes of cooking. It would still rotate and light, but no heat. After a couple months of that, it started making a death rattle from the rotating arm at the bottom. It’s just a disappointing, somewhat terrifying black box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited 6 weeks for delivery- it was perfect fit for my counter- within one week it was not working- I had replaced a microwave that was ten years old- I had to go get it back-

Perfect for corner space

We don’t “cook” in it and wanted something to take minimal space in a corner and this has been great for 3 years. It is now starting to go on the fritz a bit and I only wish I could find a new one in stock anywhere!

Small but efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my first compact microwave for 10 years, and it worked great. Don't know what happened but sparks started flying. The one I bought now took a month to find. But I'm so glad that I did. This mini microwave does not take up much space; it fits in a corner. There's room for a full sized dinner plate. And it's strong enough for anything. Too cute! People think it's a t.v. I love it!

Burned up on us

We had this less than three years and it burned out. There was a red flash, a burning smell, and it was gone. Hope this was an anomaly. Until then, it was great. Just the right size for our limited use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
