Great productivity with android app availability

I just simply love the phone. It did not take long to get use to the OS. They keyboard and the capacitive feature of the device is well thought out. Reading experience has been excellent for documents, mail, text, and web pages. I don't mind the video viewing too much. It gets the job done for mobile experience. Lots of performance, battery power, sound, and clarity. Other than google services (official hangouts and official youtube), I've been able to get a majority of my apps from Amazon App Store. Or search online on how to side load the play store for more apps.

Amazing Phone!

I have been following the Passport since it's release in October. At first, I was hesitant, but I ended up saying what the heck and buying it. It is an amazing phone. Every time I show people the touch gestures (research on crackberry.com), people are blown away. It is the new age blackberry that allows me to get stuff done when and where I need to with ease. I had the q10 and realized the BlackBerry 10 os is awesome, but until you fully utilize the passport like it is intended for, you don't understand BlackBerry 10. The hub is amazing. It streamlines my life, I can run android apps, and get stuff done when and where I need to. I have had an iPhone, Android, but by far...this phone is made for getting stuff done. Definitely recommended for any business professional!

Everything about this phone shames anything put out by the fruit company and Android. I now have a full out PC in my pocket.

I purchased this about a week ago. I come from a long line of BlackBerry devices so I wasn't unfamiliar with the BB10 os (Z10 owner). But I was very impressed with the style, attentiveness to every movement, and other amazing aspects of this device and OS (10.3.1). I am STILL learning what this device can do that I didn't know about a week ago!! I would recommend this to ANY one that wants a smartphone!

Bought it about a three weeks ago, its amazing. Fast, good looking(i know that's subjective) but it really looks good. The keyboard is amazing, and the work wide is not a campaign its truly the best for spreadsheet, writing email, etc. I love the phone and hope you out there looking at give a try, maybe, just maybe you would like.

when I first saw this phone I wondered, just how do you carry it around but it is really more comfortable than the Galaxy S5 in my left front pocket. When it comes to web surfing, Facebook, sending and receiving email or text, you will not find a better equipped phone on the market today. Turns out that the unusual shape and design features are intended to create the best experience possible when engaged in such activities.
My last Blackberry just couldn't get the job done because of a lack of critical apps, like my bank. With this one I have access to Android apps through Amazon and by latest count my phone has 31 Blackberry and 28 Android apps loaded and working well. This is no longer an issue for me.
I must say that I missed one of the true Blackberry strengths and was pleased to see they have maintained the exceptional quality of the speakerphone. You know it is a Blackberry when you hear it.
As these smartphones keep getting thinner we keep losing all hope of getting reasonable battery life out of them. The Passport however is an exception to this rule and I must admit to being unable to drain it in a full day of use.
In summary, this phone was designed primarily for the business world and if you do the kinds of things mentioned above then it is exceptional and will easily outpace the competition. If you are a gamer and like to watch video it probably is not the best phone for you.

I never thought I'd see the day where I would be back on a Blackberry device. I own various Androids (Nexus 5/HTC M series etc...) iPhones (5/6) and a couple Windows phones (Lumia). The sheer elegance of this Blackberry is to me is amazing despite its size. I was hesitant at first but figured I had 15 days to return it if I didn't like it. Well the size and shape of this device is very comfortable and very solid. The operating system UI is very easy to use. Swiping up to turn it on is a very nice trick. The inclusion of the Amazon app store as well as being able to side load the Google App store (easy to follow instructions on various youtube channels etc) and I haven't suffered from a lack of everyday apps that I used on my IPhone. The battery life on this thing is extremely good. A good solid 24 hours of power using for me. I tried going back to my IPhone 6 and after a couple hours turned it off and went back to the Passport. Bravo Blackberry!!! A couple more tweaks with app's and you'll have the wind at your backs. Apple and Android both need to be pushed and the user experience on the Passport is hands down so much better than the aforementioned others. The digital assistant is a bit slow but will get better over time. The speakers on this thing are amazing as well. I can't say enough good things about it.

I love the BlackBerry Passport. I was afraid the width would be an issue, but it's not (It is most definitely a two-handed device). The keyboard is great. Viewing websites on the screen... so much better than a traditional style smartphone. Although the screen is 4.5", it seems so much bigger than screens that are actually bigger in size.
The main reason people shy away from BlackBerry is because of the lack of apps. Even with the Amazon App Store, I still found myself not finding apps I use regularly. HOWEVER, BlackBerry has made it EXTREMELY easy to side-load Android apps on the BlackBerry. The only apps that don't work are those that require Google Play Services (Google Maps works). But my banking apps, social apps, games etc. they all work.
I also love it because its different. As a hobby, I buy every major smartphone that comes out, test them for a month or so, and then sell them on eBay. I found myself getting bored with new phones because when it comes down to it, they're really all the same (with the exception of maybe one or two standout features). The Passport is a breath of fresh air. It's different, but comfortable.
