Freaking great phone!

The Blackberry Passport truly deserves its position among ZDNets Top 10 phones of 2015. This thing is fast with smooth transitions between screens and great web browsing. Tops on the list for me: The Blackberry Blend app that links my PC with my phone. With the Blend app, I'm able to seamlessly navigate between the two over wireless sharing files as well as managing messaging and apps. To that end, there is no 'app gap' either. You'll find every app you'll need between Blackberry World and Amazon. Finally, there is the unbeatable Blackberry battery life. The laws of physics apply here ... bigger case, bigger battery and longer charge all equal more working time each day.
Admittedly, its easy to see the unique square shape and paradigm-shifting OS workflow won't be for everyone. But for those serious about getting work done no matter where they are, this is the mobile device for you.

After handling the latest/greatest (including i6 Plus, Galaxy Edge,)...the Passport's build quality is still King. I want to feel a Phone in my hands...not a slim "credit card".
I would recommend this to a friend!

I still have a Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 plus but I keep going back to the passport. Here are the big pluses for a heavy traveler focused on productivity:
* battery life is better then my iPhone 6 plus
* blackberry hub is great for keeping all of your communication in one place
* the phone antenna and call clarity is second to none
* the keyboard is great once you get used to buttons again
* expanded memory is a plus if you need access to lots of info with you
* integration with Dropbox, Onedrive and salesforce.com is flawless
* built in apps to edit docs better then office by Microsoft
* Google play can be directly installed or you can sideload snap for access to all android apps
* keyboard shortcuts are a dream for productivity
* calendar functions including meeting requests are much more consistent than on the iPhone or android

I'll start by listing my last few devices. M8, iPhone 6 and Note 4 (Which I also use) and the Passport holds up well in comparison. The hardware build quality is fantastic and the keyboard is a delight to use. Battery life is exceptional (2 days moderate use) The screen is beautiful and works better in sunlight than anything else I've used. BB may have been forgotten about, but the Passport is good enough to turn heads and make doubters do a double take.

Far Better than Expected!

Due to it's size and shape, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it. I've had Blackberry's so I was also concerned about the app situation. Still, I really wanted to give the passport a go. At first, it was definitely awkward typing on it but after one day it felt really good in my hand and I was used to typing on it in very short order. The Passport is built exceptionally solid and the screen is amazing. The Hub also took some getting used to but I found it to be very useful and convenient to use. Everything all in one place. Simple. As for the apps, whatever I didn't find in the app stores, I was able to make some pretty decent looking shortcuts to the web sites on my home screen. Web pages are rendered very nicely for the most part so this is more than acceptable. I have everything I need now and the beauty of all that is Blackberry. Lastly? The battery is the best of any phone I've owned.
