I am pleased with it's proformance, but it doesn't have quite as many selections that you would think you would get with this pricer model. I will have to see over time how the door stands up over time, it just functions like I will have a problem
with it. I still can't believe this microwave/convecection oven cost more than the dishwasher.

GE Convection Miccrowave: Mostly Excellent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave/convection has performed without a hitch for a number of years. Loaded with easy to use features and great documentation. The only glitch is that the handle is NOT durable and broke off one day after simply pulling it open.

Nice unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This GE Profile convection/microwave has a lot of nice features, does the job, doesn't have "hot" spots, and is quite handsome, but it isn't the easiest to use. I read the manual when it was first installed a year ago, but have had to reread some sections for seldom used functions. It's not very intuitive. Some everyday functions require several steps to work. The keypad will indicate what button to push next. Annoying when you're in a hurry. I also wish it had a lighted keypad. I even put a small piece of tape over one of the frequently used functions so I would not have to turn on the overhead light in the evening. Also, the filter pops out and falls on the stove if you accidentally hit it when you are cleaning. These are annoying but minor issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall a very good oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did the self install that we found fairly easy. The only problem was getting the fan in the correct position. I think it was actually in the right position and the instructions showed how to turn for under cabinet. After installation we figured this out so I would suggest checking the fan by plugging it in before wall installation.
As far as the oven/microwave I have really enjoyed it and it cooks well. Our regular oven is currently broken so we have been using this smaller over and it has worked great for the both of us. I love the ability to use this as an oven or microwave.

a nice addition to my kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has this microwave and recommended it to me when we recently remodeled our kitchen. I have been very pleased with the ease of use and features. The convection feature does take a long time to preheat, but is a nice feature if you don't want to use your full size oven. The surface light is nice and bright, and the exhaust fan does a great job. It is more expensive than a regular microwave, but I am hoping it will be worth the investment over time.
