I bought this phone a month ago and I really love it. It is clearer than a land line. Can't get all the apps like on other phones. I hope that changes. I really like the hub for emails, phone calls, texts and Facebook alerts. It is really good looking and well built.

This phone is awesome! The build quality is far superior over other phones. QWERTY keyboard is absolutely amazing. Great camera, great screen, great features. This BlackBerry Classic is such a wonderful value. HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for a great phone with a great keyboard and a great OS at a great price!

Blackberry Classic is a new twist on a classic

Right out of the box its like a familar friend. I instantly felt at easy seeing the Blackberry tool belt, keyboard and styling. It reminded me of my Blackberry Bold which I had put through the ringer and never failed me in the 3 years I used it. This Blackberry offers some great improvements over the Bold, the first one is the OS. Blackberry's latest version is much more helpful to manage business connection, the hub will save you valuable time instead of jumping from one app to the other to manage your messages. Blackberry's Android player, is a nice addition allowing me the chance to also utilize Android Apps and features, however, even with the Android player this is still 100% Blackberry. Some familiar with Blackberry products of the past will notice a few options that were available in past Blackberrys are now gone, but the additions more than make up for the few lost options.
A few cons to this latest addition of the Blackberry family. I noticed you can no longer remove the battery from the phone as you could in the past models. Also this Blackberry is heavier than past phones. It feels solid and well build, but the weight could be a turn off to some. The phone is also not a great fit for smaller hands. The width and weight can make it difficult for some to use one handed, this is especially true if one is using the keyboard. The Blackberry Classic is also a little under powered in the processor department. I was hoping for a better processor performance, but with this snapdragon processor, the phone at times can get a little sluggish depending on what tasks your doing. The performance becomes increasing noticeable while running Android Apps. The camera on the Blackberry Classic is also a little underwhelming. It has a slow shutter speed, but if switched to burst mode you maybe able to get the shot your looking for and with it 8mp rear facing camera, the photos are okay, but lack a little sharpness and clarity when compared to higher mp photos.
Overall I would recommend this phone to all who love Blackberry. It offers many of the features Blackberry users are comfortable with and know. This phone continues to be built for business and with the addition of a couple apps (both Blackberry and Android) my phone is working as I hoped and is allowing me to keep up with my business contacts. I would also recommend this to those who have largely ignored Blackberry in the past. If your main ways to communicate are by email and text your find this phone incredibly easy to keep up with friend and family. You'll also enjoy great call sound quality for those occasional calls that do come in. The Blackberry Classic also offers many of your favorite Android Apps too, so you're not sacrificing everything you love about the Android OS to make the move to a Blackberry.

New BlackBerry User

I have always been an Android user. I currently own the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. (I love it and highly recommend!) Before that...Galaxy Note 3... Galaxy Note. I am a gadget geek and wanted to try another operating system which basically meant Apple. I was going to try the 5s but after reading tech sites/blogs I decided to give BlackBerry a try and chose the Classic. I don't regret it. I am not a power house business professional but I agree with those that say this isn't "a toy". Of course you can do the social media activities but I prefer using my Edge for that. I like this phone for actually talking (great call quality if anyone cares anymore since the onslaught of the phablet), the operating system is easy and simple to use. (I have experienced no glitches or hiccups) and I really like the hub. All messages and notifications in one place. The build quality is great. I love the feel of this phone in hand. The big draw I read as the winning feature is the keyboard and tool bar. Typing is taking some getting used to for me. So used to the touch screen.
And speaking of I like still having that function on the Classic. Many reviews have talked of a lag. I haven't noticed. Maybe. Because I also use Samsung w/ Touchwiz which many say has a lag. Anyway I have no complaints. The negative review I agree with is lack of apps. But this too is not major for me as I enjoy using this phone simply for talk, text, email and the experience of trying another operating system. I do however wish I could change the native calendar app. (This is where better app store would come in to play for me.) All in all I am happy I decided to try BlackBerry and happy I chose the Classic. Great Looking device with a decent camera and good battery life. One of these days I will try Apple.

If you think you can get your business work done on your iPhone, I urge you to give this device a try. While you will not find apps like Netlix on this device out of the box (3rd party apps will allow this), it is the only device I can stay up with all my messages in one day. The physical keyboard is what you would expect from blackberry, the speaker quality is superior, the battery is strong, and the blackberry hub is absolutely necessary. Hub allows you to keep ALL of your messages in one inbox includes sent messages, etc. this is NOT an IPhone, or a Samsung phone which is mainly a toy but can also be used for business, the Classic is for those who need to run their business but can also play SOME games. Blackberry 10 has come a long way.

Return to BlackBerry!

I "missed" my BlackBerry! It's been 2 years since I've used one. I love the Classic. It's nice to have the keyboard again. I gave 4 stars because the Apps for free ringtones actually are not free. You have to actually purchase the upgrade. Otherwise it's a great phone.

Keyboard is still grea but doesn't fit in a pocket anymore. Has some nice new features like a front and rear facing camera and a flashlight but it is diifficult To navigate around and some things like deleting an email are downright clumsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
