Truly "classic"

Size hasn't been the issue I feared - it is sleek and comfortable. The Qwerty keyboard I have come to depend on is great without taking away from screen view size. Camera delivers crisp images and I love the on-board editing tools!! All in all I think Blackberry hit it out of the park on this one!

Nothing against android or ios, but for someone who uses the phone to manage emails for business, nothing beats BlackBerry. I gave up my first BlackBerry in 2012 and used an android device for 3 years. It wasn't the end of the world but it wasn't great either. Glad to be back, hammering out emails and even this review on my BlackBerry Classic.

It's every favorite thing I missed from the 9800 series - the torch - combined with the new features of the Q10! The awesome keyboard and the touchpad for the cursor - no more frustration trying to place the cursor just so with my fat fingertips on the screen for a correction, and long live the"back" arrow for returning to previous screen! And no more swiping to answer calls, just touch. Reviews i'd read warned about smaller screen, but screen is way bigger that the Q10. Love the classic!!!

I love blackberry, the look, the purpose. They're are amazing.. The keyboard is so smooth and easy to learn! My favorite thing so far is being able to hold the shift key and scroll down on the track pad to select multiple files or emails to delete or move at once.. It's truly like having a computer at your finger tips. It's true this is not a phone for a bunch of silly games and apps, but if that's what you're into stick to your android /Iphone.

A email, texting, phone call machine.

If social media, taking pictures of whats for dinner, and playing games on your phone is a priority then this is not the phone for you. If, however, you are looking for a device that allows you to crush email, text, and actually talk on your phone your search is over. This device is all about you, the end user, responding to information quickly. This is not a pretty feel good device. This is a device designed to relay information with security and ease. The BB eco system takes time for first time users. Once mastered, I for one will not ever go back to another platform. Several points to consider: battery life is easily, with hard use, a full day. I can get two days of use by only using wireless connections. The keyboard, once the learning curve has ended, has become mandatory for responding to email. I can destroy a Monday morning inbox with ease. The HUB, a dump zone for all incoming info, is a time saving wonder. BBM has quickly become my go to for quick communications with multiple work groups: the privacy features are impressive. Phone call quality is superb. The best reception I have ever had in a smartphone. Zero problems with international travel call quality or process/ add SIM as needed and I am good to go. In short, I own the latest iPhone and this Blackberry. For work, which demands a level of security I think is missing from Apple, this device has been fantastic. As an aside, Blackberry is a blip currently in the market. Having used this device now I am shocked that Blackberry does not have more market share.

An Excellent Business and Writing Tool

This is the best smartphone that I have owned. I do a lot of writing in my business work and the physical keyboard is much better than trying to compose while typing on glass. The screen is larger than previous Blackberry phones and the compendium "hub" of all e-mails, texts and notifications can be accessed conveniently with a simple swipe. The Blackberry Classic also brings back the "mouse" from the Bold models, the return and menu keys and the phone control keys. These options are a welcome return for times when I want to edit what I am writing and I can return to an exact section with more accuracy than with a touchscreen. The phone itself is sturdy and feels more substantial (especially in size and weight) than prior Blackberry models. The stainless steel and black look is very classy and appropriate for a business device. The operating system is effective for my needs, which center more around productivity than entertainment and games. Nevertheless, more access is given to Andriod apps through the Amazon App Store. Thanks Blackberry for continuing to make smartphones with excellent physical keyboards of which the Classic is the pinnacle thus far.

This would be my second blackberry I have ever owned. I am not disappointed with the phone. It does everything I expect it to do. I mainly use the phone for texting, calling, and emails. this device is perfect for that. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the build quality. Everything is nearly perfect except for the trackpad... The trackpad is slightly leaning to the left, which is a huge bother for me. As far as apps, which I do not use much except for banking and pandora, they are a pain to download. Any app that is not in blackberry world takes forever to download.

This phone is everything you could ask it to be. It gives you a phenomenal keyboard, while still offering a more than adequate size screen, and not being too big overall. The phones performs at a top notch clip, the operating system is smooth as glass, and the hub feature is almost seamless, all this while offering access to both blackberry and android apps. The battery life gives you well over 24hrs of regular usage before needing a charge, and the camera is crisp and fast. Not really sure they missed on one aspect.
