Frustrating Experience

I have enjoyed using the camera....but using internal memory for recording is useless and makes me wish I NEVER owned this camera. I can never get the camera to install on my computer and I have read repeated post about the same thing. It takes numerous teaks to get it to finally install but it will only work once. I could use a SD card and probably will but I hate having a feature this is very useful that is useless! I do not understand why Canon will not supply a standalone drive to avoid this issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You cannot pause while recording!!!

I've been using this device for a while now. Never needed a pause function - until tonight when while recording something happened and needed to pause the recording. Much to my dismay, there is no ability to pause the recording - you can record- then stop, which creates two separate recordings - which is not the desired result. Looked through the manual, and it did not help to answer whether or not there was a pause function for recording. Had to ask a person on youtube who reviewed the recorder if they saw a way to pause the recorder - - I was told that there is not. Who would create a recorder without the ability to pause recording??? That is (to me) a critical function. Heck - anything you record with typically has a pause recording function. Since this recorder doesn't, it is extremely limited in its usability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
