Wonderful Camera

We've had ours for quite some time and have never had an issue. We use it for a multitude of occasions and have had no issues, other than user error. The only thing I am having a hard time with now is trying to find a gimbal that is compatible with it, we're not going to go buy an entirely new camera or camcorder just for this purpose, we are happy with this one and will figure it out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good quality video, and long battery life.
Little disappointed on the WiFi functionality, but I bought the camera for good video recording, not WiFi connectivity.

What good is a $400 Vixia hf r62 that does all this stuff when all you see in the viewfinder in broad daylight is your own reflection? Even with a sun shield? Honestly it makes me wonder if the people who design these things have ever actually used a camcorder in their lives. Surely, test marketing would have revealed such a basic flaw. Or am I the only one? Save your money.

WiFi App does not work

Camera is good. Quality is good. Battery life is satisfactory at about 180 minutes.
WiFi App does not work.
If you are buying for WiFi, you may be disappointed.

Miss my HF M31

Miss my HF M31.I had it for 6yrs and It died suddenly after left in a freezing car. Canon said they no longer service this model and suggested the HF series. I purchased an HR 62 and what a letdown. Unable to take still photos with flash assist, no remote activate(need smart phone) It feels chintzy and protruding battery hinders operation,no photo button on top The screen navigation is cumbersome .I now need to take my still camera on projects when the M31 did both satisfactorily . Don't know of any flash assist in any other models. Canon took a step backwards with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No luck with the WiFi or the smart phone connectio

I am about to use this video for my business. I need quality videos, but I also need the flexibility to view the videos on my laptop or smartphone immediately, to show customers. My smart phone is too advance for the NCF option. The Canon NCF is outdated; so this application doesn't work either. I'm very disappointed with this camcorder.

Terrible Camera

I bought this camera from another online outlet. The reviews at the time weren't bad. The camera image quality is absolutely abhorrent for HD. Everything is DARK and FUZZY. I have tried all the settings in normal lighting, low light, etc. The final image quality is less than my Samsung Galaxy S7. Very disappointed with this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
