Not Worth the Money for Upgraded Version

There is no good reason to purchase this item just because of the Wi fi. Because you always have to be around an area that has it. The older version had a great camera set up that included a zoom button. The upgraded version took that away. I purchased the older version mainly for the music and because it took great pictures and it was lightweight to travel with. The only good things they changed was the sound quality and the size of this player. Otherwise the 4.0 was better and more worth the price. I am going to return this 5.0 for a completely different one. What a waste of money!!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, sound quality
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, camera features changed. no zoom button

I bought this galaxy player for its large screen. I was hesitant to buy it because there was no hard case or screen protectors available. I work outside and it is very necessary to have a hard case and screen cover! Please have them in the making and ready to be sent to stores soon! I want to fully enjoy my new player!

I am very impressed with this player. I love the size of it, which is small enough to fit in my pocket, but big enough to read books on it. I love all the features. My only complaint is that the GPS location (to get directions) only functions when you are in WIFI range, which doesn't help if you are on the road somewhere. Other than that, a very good product. In fact, I recommended them to a friend who bought 2.

Not the best specs but its good. WAY better than the ipod touch no doubt. But the problem is the hardware aspects of this device isnt that great. So this probably wont even get any updates even though it just came out. I'm contemplating on selling this or not because it probably will get outdated very quickly. If you're not a stickler on being behind in updates, this device is good for you. I wouldn't recommend this because of the likelyness of this device getting behind in updates. If you want to stay up to date you're better off buying an ipod touch.

o though this was going to be an ipod touch beater but its screen isnt as nice and its os isnt as polished no dual core processor not as solid built its bigger thicker and more expensive

I am not happy with the touch screen at all. it never clicks on what i am wanting too or it doesn't seem to work at all. I always have to usually click 2 or 3 times and then another 2 or 3 times to actually click on what I want. I thought with using this and getting use to it things would get better but it hasn't. the money you pay you would think they would use a better screen too. They can not compete with I pod but it was a nice try but didn't try hard enough. It was a poor job trying. To compete with the best you have to produce the best. Just overall not happy with this product at all.

Great Machine BUT

Like most Samsung products, the device itself is spectacular, but Samsung has still not figured out that "mobile" means people want to carry it around, like to the gym and places. There is no armband for it! This is a major problem and it really makes me angry!
This is the same problem I had with an old Samsung mp3 player, years ago. I still have the device, it is still a great device, and Samsung did not have armbands for it then, either. I am still angry about that.
Frankly, I regret buying the Galaxy for this reason alone, and I can recommend it to my friends only with reservation: it's a great device, BUT.
