Go Big Or Go Home!

I was impressed with my Galaxy Player from day 1. As soon as I got it out of the box I was amazed. The size is perfect for everything. Videos. Music. Web. Games. You name it, you can do it. Whenever I pull it out I always get asked what it is or people exclaim about the size. Ialso get asked what sort of phone I have, then I have to break it to them that it can do everything a phone does except make real calls. Even my friends with IPhones think that it is amazing. So far the only probkem that I have had is running out of memory storage but this can be easily fixed by purchasing a microSD card for the expandable storage. This is a fantastic ptoduct that can get stuff done!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

this player is awesome. its really easy to use with a sleek design. the screen is large and bright. this is the perfect product to keep you company on a long trip.

Don't believe the tech blogs when it comes to the Galaxy Player 5

Yes, the technology samsung is employing in the galaxy players is "last years" stuff. As a package designed for media consumption with being able to run apps/play games, The Galaxy Player 5 is in my mind the way to go. Performance-wise, it functions quite nicely with nary a hiccup that some lesser hardware android devices suffer from.
Handles what's thrown at it and handles it well. I've even run some music composition applications on it and they run quite nicely. Nicely enough to be able to interact and control them effectively. If you're looking for a little bit more than what the competition offers at a good value and aren't put off that the technical specs are dated by a year (while still being a great performer) I would highly recommend a Galaxy Player 5.

Great Product with a few necessities

The galaxy is very good for most daily activities....surfing, email, apps, scheduling. One HUGE downfall that samsung needs to address is that the mini diary data cannot be backed up. Samsung Kies only backs up pics, videos, calendar and contacts. This is a huge downfall, because if you consistently use this diary and then need to transfer it to your pc or another samsung product, you can't and all your diary entries will be lost.

Makes a great gift and has alot of features to use even though its not a phone it has the same features as a cell phone without any contracts.

A game-changing device!

I did a lot of research before deciding on the SGP5. It's simply THE best device of its kind on the market. The SGP gets my highest recommendation to all my friends and acquaintances
Now if Samsung would produce some accessories for it, I could give Samsung my highest rating. The SGP needs a desktop cradle, or charging stand, a thin and soft case, and so on.
I love my SGP5 and use it every day. It's my "right hand assistant".

I love this but.....

I have had this unit for about a week and I love it. I have an android tablet so this was easy to get used to. The only problem I have encountered is that it deleted all the music I put on it (I did not delete the music or any apps) and this morning I found that the books that I downloaded through my reader app are all back to needing to be downloaded (I am now at work without access to WIFI and I really wanted to continue reading my current book on breaks). Not a deal breaker since it's easy to redownload everything, just a pain if it keeps happening. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Again I love this.
