Very even cooking

We were in a rush to replace our double wall oven that failed fantastically. We quickly visited five stores. Every time we asked the sales person which ovens work best, they all answered GE. They were right! I learned that there are more passes in the heating elements for more even cooking. That really works! Also, the convection fan is very quiet, not like the old oven that squeaked constantly while the fan was on. I’m very pleased with our oven.

Had oven installed by Best Buy. They did a great job. I like the easy controls and bright lights in oven. Still reading the manual and have not yet set up the remote access.

I moved into a house three years ago with a double oven (original to the 28 year old home)---however, no one cleaned it for ages. I managed to get one oven in working order, but haven't been able to use both ovens. The controls were also DIALS so I was in the stone age. After cooking Thanksgiving without the benefit of two ovens for three years, I decided to look into buying a new oven (plus, I was worried it would die suddenly). After much research, I decided on the GE Cafe Series 27" to replace my oven. I love that I can actually SEE into the oven while things are cooking! I also like that it shows what temperature the oven is while it is preheating, so you can watch the temperature rise. I'm sure I'll discover more great features and hopefully, it will be a great oven for years to come!

We bought these ovens to replace a single wall oven/microwave unit that was original to the 90's house we recently moved into. I love having double ovens, makes it so much easier to cook meals with multiple sides. Convection is such a plus as I can put multiple pans of cookies in to bake with them all coming out evenly.

Good balance of performance and price

I did quite a bit of research and decided on this product based on performance and reported reliability. PRO: Very good appearance that complements appliances from other manufacturers. Large glass window and good lighting to see oven contents. This helps avoid unnecessary openings/closings of the door while baking. Exterior surfaces seem to stay cooler than my previous oven. Racks operate smoothly (one has ball bearings). Concealment of lower heating element increases oven interior size. CON: It is slower (but not objectionally) to reach temperature than my previous oven. A little frustrating if you're in a hurry. Perhaps 10 to 15 minutes to reach 350 degrees. The countdown ("kitchen") timer is inconvenient to use. It can be set only to whole minutes. After entering a time and pressing start there is no indication that the time is running until at one minute when the countdown display changes to seconds. NO OPINION YET: Temperature uniformity and regulation (seems OK so far), Wifi connectivity and usefulness, convection mode (OK in brief testing), self-cleaning performance with steam and conventional mode.

Love our new GE Cafe Double Oven

Our old oven died and we needed a new oven before the holidays. As we investigated new ovens we determined that GE is the only manufacturer who offers a Double Oven that operates at 30 amps. As we researched the GE ovens we really liked the innovative features that they offered (internet connection, steam cleaning, porcelain racks, etc). We selected the Cafe model because we liked the features and styling. We then ordered direct from GE and they delivered the new oven within a week of placing the order. The new oven performed wonderfully over the holidays allowing us to bake pizza, cinnamon rolls, prime rib, turkey and numerous other dishes to perfection! After the holidays, we used the steam cleaning feature to easily clean up the splatters and spills. The steam loosened the splatters so they easily wiped off. We are extremely satisfied with our new oven.
