How to replace bulbs

I have seen numerous reviews mentioning the difficulty of replacing the bulbs. The problem is that unless you have installed the vent yourself, you may not know what the base of the bulb looks like -- so you don't know how to remove them. The bulbs have a GU10 base, which means 2 pins that have a round disk at the end of each pin. The disks hold the bulb from falling out. To remove the bulb, press up on it while rotating it about 1/4 turn, then wiggle it. Bosch could help customers by including a diagram and explanation in the installation or user manual.
We have used this ventilation hood for 2 years and have had no problems. It does a good job and is reasonably quiet. We did replace the two 35-watt halogen bulbs with 5-watt LED bulbs that are brighter and whiter.

Great range hood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with this. Have had it for 5 years now and its solid. For what it is it works very well; it is noisy even on the low setting but I don't think that's avoidable when its moving so much air and recirculating it.

Good looking and other Stats good, BUT ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like the aesthetics, fit, finish and other stats, but the extremely difficult to deal with lights and amazingly bad switch place (I'm 6'-2") ruin the product. If these would have been thought through, this would be a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have not been able to get bulbs installed yet and have had husband, contractor and 2 friends try ~ we just keep cooking in the dark! Do not buy this model ~
