I've only had this phone for less than a day but so far I am happy with it. They didn't have the Captivate so I got this instead.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight

My 1st smart phone & replaces an Impression (semi-smart-phone). I've owned several different Samsung products in the past & happy with the quality & performance. I researched this phone & found that I was intrigued by Windows Phone 7 os. I like the layout features of the Focus & the ability to modify the main screen with different apps, including multiple email accounts, Facebook, etc.
Lots of apps, many free, are available.
Downside -
Not compatible with other os' or apps; Cannot download ringtones; Settings revert to default with camera; Must use Zune to download updates to os, shop apps, etc. Alarms & Alerts aren't very powerful (won't awake a heavy sleeper); Poor Battery Life (heavier use requires 2 or 3 re-charges per day); SD Card expandable (but you must format the card to work with the phone & when you do that, you format the phone too, so my recommendation is to add the SD when you first get the phone so you don't lose all your settings, preferences, music & photos)
Still it's a good phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, large amount of apps available
Cons: poor battery life, not other os/app compatible, settings revert to default
I would recommend this to a friend!

i've had this phone for a month. I like it's quick browser response time. It's also easy to figure out and I like the Windows menus. Intuitive to me. I am finding out that I don't like the placement of the ringer volume, opposite the phone lock key on the side. I tend to hold my finger there and I am always turning off the volume and then missing calls. The phone has also locked up and I have not been able to unlock until someone called it. I am hoping this is not a continuing problem. But, I do like the phone! I am hoping it's the start of continuing smart phones. I am not so young and I think the display is nice and big.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, easy to read

First, what I love about the phone. The screen is amazing, the color saturation and feel is awesome. The phone is easily the lightest smartphone I have ever held.
The design of the power button to be opposite the volume is a real pain. Every time I go to turn up the volume I power off the screen. Painful.
There is an SD slot, but I have not gotten a single SD card to work more than a few weeks. Some claim it is Microsofts fault for the design, don't know. But it is a pain as a user to only have 8 GB of storage coming from a 64 GB iPhone 4.
The case also feels very cheap plastic. Get a case, quickly. My case back would pop off in my pocket (it just snaps on) before I got a case.
The camera is a real let down for me. It is technically the same MP rating as the iPhone 4, but it is no where near that quality. I have taken dozens of pictures side by side with my iPhone 4 and the quality just does not compare.
Update the phone to Windows Phone 7.1 Mango as soon as you can. The OS upgrades as amazing and really make the experience much more enjoyable.
