This is a great phone, probably the best I have had so far. The only con: the battery life. If this could be increase this would be the perfect phone for me.
I am the type of person who researches EVERYTHING. I decided to purchase a phone plan with a phone running WP7 since all of my media (email, music, photos, videos[all 2,000 of them]) would easily transfer to it. It was a tossup between the HTC HD7 and the Samsung Focus. I chose the Focus because of the carrier. I have been very happy with this phone and its features. I can seamlessly listen to music, watch DVDs that I have ripped to my hard drive and transferred, or read manga and other comics with this device. Oh, and it makes calls too. I upgraded with a 16GB micro-SD card and have it filled with movies, music, photos, and apps. The only problem that I have had with this phone is that the original one I purchased had a squeaky/sticky volume button. I contacted my provider and it was replace within 3 days. No complaints after that.
Love the phone, the picture quality, the ease of use and the clear connections when I call someone! It just worked right out of the box, and has been great ever since. Loads of storage and good organization for access to it!
I would suggest two software improvements: a) provide an option to inhibit the buttons for camera and on/off since they are so easily hit by accident when grabbing a ringing phone, and b) the obvious: cut and paste!
I LOVE this phone! So easy to use! Never own another phone!!! This is so user friendly. Apps galore and ones that you always wanted but no one else had...well Samsung Focus has them!
Windows is the only way to go in cell usage. Samsung Focus has it all and then some. I can access my stocks, read current news, check out my FB all at my fingertips. It's a one stop shop.
If you're thinking about a new phone...you will not be disappointed with the Samsung Focus!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, windows (love it)
Cons: Too big
I would recommend this to a friend!

the phone is great. I have had it for 3 weeks and love it. the people hub is so great. the ability to pin my preferred apps as live tiles is wonderful. moving around is easy. i found an app to watch my home security cameras. i found a bar code scanner. what i need this phone is giving ....i really don't see where any of the smart phones have anything on wp7 or this phone in particular. its just great!!!!!
This is my first touchscreen phone, and it was super easy to get used to. The screen is very responsive and I love the WIndows 7 Live Tiles on the home page. The battery life is ok, but I find I usually need to charge it overnight every couple of days.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'VE HAD THIS PHONE FOR A WEEK AND IT SEEMS TO BE VERY EASY TO OPERATE. THE ONLY THING THEY NEED TO ADD IS SPEECH TO TEXT FOR TEXTING. I HAVE FRIENDS WHO HAVE IT ON THEIR PHONES AND I WISH I HAD THAT FEATURE ON MINE. WILL BE A DECIDING FACTOR NEXT TIME
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had the iPhone 3GS, not a bad phone but I wanted to get out of the iPhone craze, something different, something new and a change for the better. I am impressed with the Samsung Focus. Very easy to use and is only as complicated as you make it. Zune is way easier than iTunes, that was the big thing I wanted to get away from, grrrrr m4R. It was between the Focus or Captivate, I have heard great things about the Android systems but I didn't want to be in the mainstream, I took the risk and I made the right choice. I cannot wait for the update and added features that are coming soon for the Win 7 Mobile OS. Yes people, there is other life out there other than the iPhone, you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, easy to use, customizable, battery life is no worse than any other phone
