I waited for this phone for several years. The screen is beautiful, the touch performance is perfect, and the layout of "metro" is incredibly easy! Enjoy the Zune functionality and the unsurpassed call clarity. You won't regret switching!
This phone if great for a working phone, to be able to work on documents, check emails, can send pictures directly to facebook, keep track of contacts and code them.
This phone has done everything I needed it to do. Used as a personal phone and I prefer it much more then the Blackberry Torch I have for work. More flexible, better apps (including Zune and Xbox Live integration) and even works better as a phone. Only negative I really have is the lack of a common inbox and calender as I have several email accounts and would prefer to have one calender for all of them and one mailbox would be nice although I have gotten used to working around this (and these are really WP7 issues not the Focus itself).
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my first smartphone and I love it! I was worried about the all touch screen but it is so easy to navigate. Within an hour I had it all figured out. Love this phone!
We waited quite awhile to upgrade and we r glad we waited. This phone is amazing! Feels good to come in the 21st century. A computer in your hand for sure. We r still discovering things everyday. If u r thinking of upgrading u cannot go wrong wit this phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, large enough screen for us "older" folks!
Cons: can't find any voce messaging yet!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Focus is a Beautiful Phone, but has some quirks

The Samsung Focus is an impressive phone to look at. The AMOLED display and bright screen are "eye candy." The phone itself is amazingly light compared to other Windows Mobile devices. The battery cover is kind of cheap feeling and it is difficult to get it to snap all the way back on all edges. The design for acccessing data is brilliant, The features are readily available without having tiny little image squares like the android series phones. However, there are some glitches: sometimes the Music link does not pull up my music files. This is also the same with Marketplace at times. And the camera tends to take blurry, grainy pictures. You can set the camera anti-shaking feature to "on" but you have to remember to do this before every picture you take because the camera does not remember the settings after you exit the camera feature. There is also an issue with adding a MicroSDHC memory card. It has not been decided what, exactly, a Microsoft Windows 7 approved card is. Everyone who has tried to add a card has lost their data and had to reinstall all the programs back on; some have even lost ability to access the new card or use the phone. I purchased a 16 GB Sandisk for this phone- it is rated most likely to be compatible by reviewers, but I am still hesitant to install it until the "bugs" have been worked out on this from the company. The phone comes with 8GB built in and this has been more than adequate so far, even though I have added a ton of apps. There are many great apps available for this phone through Marketplace. I was hesitant to upgrade to the Focus from my Window Mobile Smartphone because my Smartphone could read MS Office files and copy/paste, etc. But this phone can access Outlook files, etc. and has so many more features. And updates to the now lacking copy/paste feature are expected in the January or February update. I spend way too much time on this phone now because it has so many cool features.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, many great apps available
Cons: some quirkiness at times- opening music and market, battery cover does not pop all the way back on, phone needs work to take quality pics, you are better off not adding a memory card yet
