I dumped my iphone for the Samsung Focus

I dumped my iphone for the Windows Phone 7 - Samsung Focus. I feel pretty complete- it ties in with my computer (Windows 7 OS), Zune, Xbox 360, Facebook, and Microsoft Office etc,. The phone looks great, operates extremely fast as you scroll through the tiles. I have no problems typing on the screen keys. The vibrant colors on the AMOLED touch screen are impressive. It views great in direct sun light. The speaker is surprisingly crisp and clear for a phone. Other than Cut and Paste, I have no negatives. Leaving the iphone for the Windows Phone 7 Samsung Focus was the best phone decision I've ever made. Strongly recommend Windows Phone 7 Samsung Focus

Cons: no cut and paste

I purchased this phone just one short week ago, switching from an iPhone 4 to the Windows OS. I wasn't disappointed.
I went the cheap route, getting a refurb for next to nothing, which will be passed on to my oldest son this fall when new hardware and Mango are released. I had done lots of research, not just into the OS, but also into available hardware on my carrier, and the Samsung Focus definitely fit the bill. Granted, I ended up getting stuck with a v1.3 build, but that's fine. I haven't had any issues with this phone whatsoever.
Windows Phone and Samsung definitely put a lot of thought into their respective products. Granted, the back of the Samsung Phone is a one piece plastic cover which snaps off to reach sim, micro sd as well as battery, but since you don't constantly take it off I'm not worried about it breaking. It does give the phone a cheaper 'feel', but considering that my iPhone 4 had to be hidden inside of a sturdy cover to avoid accidental shattering of either front or back glass, even that doesn't bother me.
I really like the separate camera button. The 5 mp camera takes very nice pictures, and there are finally more apps available as well that allow tweaking of those precious moments.
Syncing is a breeze, and very intuative.
The 4" screen is crystal clear and makes watching movies or playing games lots of fun.
I can't comment on the battery life too much, since I'm plugged into an outlet/usb port for most of the day.
Overall, this phone has definitely many great features, and I'm not going to bore you with breaking them all down.

Perfect Device for the Perfect Mobile OS

I've had this device now for almost 1 year. When WP7 was first released, I liked it. It had features, but not everything was perfect. Now with Mango, it's awesome and on par with the other guys.
This device is beautiful! Thin, light and battery is very good. I get an average of 12 hours on the battery when using it regularly throughout the day.
The phone is fast, this is due in part with the processor, memory and OS. So, thanks Samsung for doing it right and thanks Microsoft for doing it right also.
The price is good, though for the price, I wish it had 16GB's vs. 8GB's.
The only con I can think of is memory. I want more! I wish Samsung would release an official SD card that I can add to this phone to give me more space, but I'm not going to let that be a downside, just a nice-to-have.
Overall, great device, WP7 is just AWESOME, and this device is a great bang for the buck.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, form factor
Cons: only 8gb's of space.

WP7 is an incredible platform. Its smooth as silk, gives me immediate access to everything I use, and has great battery life. The phone is amazingly thin, I can swap out the battery, and can expand the storage on it. I've got the display turned down to Low and its still incredibly bright. Its overall just an awesome phone.
