Windows Operating System Lacking

The phone overall was great and as far as power satisfied my needs. The lacking was the overall Windows Phone operating system. As usual they are behind the curve and need to do some catch up. Well see if some things are remedied with teh next release.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight

It really did work really well, but since I needed to accept credit cards for my business using my phone and there are virtually NO APPS for windows I had to switch to an Android OS.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome and reliable phone, with Zune built in and Windows support how can you go wrong. I knew once Samsung released this device that it was going to make a statement and it has, Windows has taken off! The service on the phone was excellent!

The beauty of simplicity

I've been using the Focus for almost two (2) years now and it has satisfied most of my mobile needs to date. It may not have all the bells and whistles but when it comes down to core functionality, it has delivered time and time again. Among the highlights for me are the super AMOLED display which makes viewing pictures and movies quite a treat, and the option of expandable storage. Samsung sold my wife and me on both its products and the Windows Phone platform with this one. Eagerly awaiting the Ativ S as our WP8 phone of choice.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: no allshare functionality

Updates may freeze your phone

I just got my Samsung Focus i917 2 days ago and when I tried to update it, the phone started to reboot and hanged at the Samsung logo screen (would not boot up). There are no solutions to this and I cannot keep requesting a replacement phone every time a update messes up my phone. I think that I'd like the phone if I were actually able to try it. SO I'm gonna give it 3 stars.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, updates "brick" the phone
