I bought this phone when it was in the market out there in 2010 and I should say I am still loving this phone and it works still as new and have no complaints what so ever with this phone. Compared to current phones out there it seems little slower as technology improved tremendously in last 2 years but comparing all the other phones that were released in 2010, this was the best bet. I like the camera on this phone and I would rate it excellent and finally, no regrets about this device.
Hardly any bigger or heavier than an iPhone 4, yes sports a 4" screen with amazin contrast thanks to the Super AMOLED screen. White or greys on black looks amazing -- too bad WP7 doesn't keep this theme for all the apps -- some are black on grey which don't look nearly as good on this screen. Only a couple hardware issues...1) the camera is blurry almost all the time in indoor/low light conditions 2) battery life could be improved, 3) no way to turn off vibration for 3 hardware buttons, 4) Camera button DOES take pocket pictures despite claims this would not happen if proximity sensor detected it was in pocket (assuming issue with hardware not OS since MS claims otherwise). Some other nice things to havewould be better 1st party apps from Samsung and DLNA support.
Can't beat the screen clarity and ease of selecting functions or apps. Still waiting on some other basic features like ringtones, but I have faith (yikes!). Also got a smokin' deal on it when purchased, so if you do your homework, you can find a deal.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased my first Samsung product 1987. Had a friend get a Galaxy recently. Was thinking Droid. I had an LG Incite WM 6.1. I have a Zune HD and love the touch screen. So when I heard the WP7 was based on that tech, I waited. My wife recieved a Droid from her employer just a week or so before I purchased the Focus. She loves my phone. It is lighter and more comfortable in hand. My Daughters boyfriend has been raving about it to his friends. He and my Daughter both have Droids. My Grandsons love the ZuneHD because of the games. They Can't belive X-box is on my phone. I am not a gamer, but I am addicted to "Flight Plan". 5 stars no question.
I like the phone more each day. Great features easy to navigate. Happy with the office features and ability to quickly review excel spreadsheets. Screen is large and resolution and picture quality are excellent. Very light and slim profile, easy to carry. Camera w/flash is nice feature and the pics i have taken were all good. Battery life is good, but you will need to charge daily
Windows phone 7 is a great upgrade over previous versions and allows for quick and easy use of features. phone hardware preforms adequately, but screen and picture quality are a cut above the rest. Battery life is decent for a smart phone. Waiting on windows marketplace to get more apps can be a con.

The Samsung Focus replaces my aging Apple iPhone 3G. I entertained the possibility of replacing it with an iPhone 4 but Windows Phone 7 peaked my interest. While reviews have critiqued the Focus' build, I have no problems with the build quality or materials used. In fact, it's a nice change to carry a thinner and lighter phone. Windows Phone 7 runs quickly on this hardware and interactions are all quick and responsive making for a very refined phone. All that and the AMOLED display and had me sold.
