Great product. I have owned other printers, but none have come close to the efficiency and quality of this printer. The price you pay for all the features you get is worth purchasing this printer. This is my first Epson printer, and will continue to use Epson Products.
I wouldnt trade this printer for any other!! I usually buy another printer when the ink is out because its normally cheaper. But in this case I wouldnt dare do that. This printer is on point!!
The scanning process works without a hitch. The setup process takes awhile, due to putting in the info necessary to connect the printer with wifi access to the computer. But, it does work. Printing with normal white paper works fine, but there is a PROBLEM when you try and print with heavier glossy paper...and yes, it is the Epson paper. It will not go through, and you have to open the back to get the paper out. It will only work with less heavy weight Epson glossy paper. Also, if you are printing two pictures on one Glossy sheet, one of them may be darker than it is supposed to be. I use another printer now for printing good Glossy pictures....overall, the printer works, but does have problems with the Glossy format heavier weight sheets.
Easy set up with networked computers (4)...which I thought would be hard but it was not...Prints pretty fast and has a lot of extras....so far I am loving it in my office...GREAT PRODUCT!
So far so good in wireless print, not equipt with USB cord ,need direct phone conect for fax or scan not wi-fi concect !,not ease of use in that aspect.
Wireless install went well with my three PCs; quick and easy. Plus, my older Mac (running Snow Leopard) immediately recognized the WorkForce 545's wireless signal.
My newer Macs (running Lion) were a different story! I downloaded Epson's Lion software and Apple's latest Printer Driver software. Still, the Macs running Lion did not pick up the WorkForce 545's wireless signal… until I performed two more actions.
After downloading and installing the up-to-date software, I then REBOOTED THE MODEM (simply disconnected it from its power source for about three minutes, then reconnected the power line). Then I completely SHUT DOWN each Mac and REBOOTED them from a COLD START.
Bingo! Problem solved!
The offending Macs immediately recognized the WorkForce 545 wireless signal and the 545 printer icon appeared in the Mac printer dialogue boxes. I successfully printed test pages from each Mac with no problem.
(Too bad Epson did not include the above instructions prominently on their troubleshooting pages where Mac Lion software is mentioned. Hopefully, in the future, they will.)
By the way, the printing speed of the Epson WorkForce 545 is far superior to that of my old HP 7280.
VERY SATISFIED WITH PRINTER, INSTALLATION WAS EASY I HAD NO PROBLEMS ALL PHASES OF INSTALLATION WENT AS PLANED . PRINTER IS BEST THAT I HAVE OWNED,WILL RECOMMEND IT TO ALL THAT REQUIRE PRECISE PRINTING OF PICTURES OR PRINT.
