Bought this as christmas present for the wife who wanted to print from her ipad, iphone, and to replace my old printer with something that could do it all. I'm an HP guy professionally that's what I use and support and owned personally. The problem was that these persistently glowing and specifically fantastic reviews for Epson printers would not go away. I read so many and saw so many features I wanted in a printer that I sifted through the epsons and went with the Workforce 545. I installed in while working from home today in about 1 hour of off and on tinkering . At no point was I able to mess it up , there were just too many ways to get it right. I unboxed the unit gathered the wires started and installed with regular size ink cartridges then did a wireless install (almost did usb but WPS was sooo easy). totally brainlessly easy. Then did a win 7 64 bit installed the drivers and everything tests out awesome. Then I went and set up the remote print via epson connect and got both of those working. To test I printed from my samsung inspire smartphone (after pulling epson iprint from google play) and printed a picture. Could not be happier with the ease of setup and crisp fast color rich printing. I alos mad a copy of my Epson Connect test print page with email address just to test the copy ability and still could not get messed up with how easy it was. Kudo's to epson

Epson 545 Printer

The printer is great, easy to use and easy to set up on a LAN.
The only thing I don't like is that it a hassle to print an envelope. You should be able to print envelopes without taking all the paper out of the paper tray.

not what I expected

This is just not what I expected from Epson. I do an enormous amount of printing, specially envelopes. Everytime I print an envelope the printer leaves black roller marks all over the envelope to the point I can't use it. I print a lot of greeting cards and unless I put the setting on quality it prints with lines going horizontally across the page. It also jams up quit abit. When I get a jam and remove the back panel the gears fall off. Just not what I expected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far I'm happy whit my printer workforce 545.
The only thing don't make full happy is because I can't print on both sides. When I order the printer I don't check that feature; I know was mi fault. Everything else is very good. Thank you

I am very impressed with the ease of installing and useing this printer. The quality of the prints on photos and documents is exceptional. I strongly recomend this product to anyone who is looking to purchase an exceptional printer for either home or business purposes.

We have always used lexmark all- in- one and thought they were great. Well, this Epson is unreal!! We can't believe that this machine looks great, works like a horse, and is as easy to use as a unlocked door. The 2 to 2 copy, I used to pull my hair out!!! now I giggle and can't wait to make them. I can't say enough about this Epson it's a dream come true we will never use a nother product.

At last a printer that works every time you use it. One the works from the computer or iPad/iPhone. Now I can throw away the HPs that have broken down or "lost communication with the printer" after a few months of use. It even scans right to your pads, how cool. Way to go Epson!
