The Workforce 545 was purchased to replace our Epson 4900 which was a stand alone unit copy fax machine. When I purchased a laptop I had to run upstairs to the bedroom whenever I had to print anything. I got tried of this and replacing paper fast. With the workforce I can print from anywhere in the house and it holds half a ream of paper at time

Have gone through 4 FAX machines now. In the midst of sending data to a banking associate the 'old one' jammed up (scanner broke?). Ran out blindly to purchase, picked up one with budget in mind this being in the case the Epson 545. Rushed home, opened box, followed the brief instructions in hooking up and installing the software and BOOM I am back in business within minutes. Good machine with minimal brain work to get set up!

This printer is great except for one thing. I cannot print business cards on it. I had to buy another printer just to print my business cards.

Eats ink! On my 5th black ink cartridge in less than 6 months of ownership. I do minimal printing, 2 or 3 pages a day. This is outrageous!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

An excellent upgrade for our home network. Our previous name brand “all-in-one” gave us continuous connection issues as well as low print capacities and expensive ink cartridges. The initial connection was simple and fast, use is very flexible depending on the type of print quality we need from my high volume “economy” printing to my wife’s high quality photo prints.. And the print capacity has been a major improvement.
