Epson 545 Workforce

My Epson work force 545 has been dependable and produced great color documents. It has been easy to learn how setup, connect and operate both the scanning and printing functions. I the quality of the scan document have been very good!
I liked that the ink cartridges can be replaced one at a time for black and all the colors and they seem to have a long life producing many copies.
I would recommend this Epson to anyone looking for a all in one printer. Tha only function I have not tried or used is faxing instead scan and email.

Works with a Mac usually

Overall this is a good printer. I bought it because it is advertised as Mac compatible and is small enough to fit on my printer shelf. My old printer had OCR, optical character recognition, and I miss OCR because I prepare handouts for classes and sometimes need to quote sources. It would be nice not to key in longer passages.
It seems to go through ink fast. The one problem I have is that the iMac loses the connection at times. I will print one doc. Then if I need to make a copy before printing another doc, the connection may be lost.
I would be happy to hear suggestions for OCR and for maintaining the connection.

Experiencing the Epson WorkForce 545 All-in-One

I have found this product to be the most technically advanced, user friendly, and reasonably priced printer I have ever owned.
The installation and customization was easy and it does what is advertised it will do. I especially like the wireless feature where I can print from my two computers (Windows XP & Windows 7), and my iphone. Also, having it's own email address, allowing me to email documents directly to it just tickles me to death!!!
I have already recommended this printer to several friends.
I would recommend this to a friend!

545 All in one

I have had this printer for over a year. It is a very good printer for what I do. It prints pictures and photos at the three star level. If you want to use the WIFI feature you will need your geek card or have a friend who has one. Overhall I like the printer. Ink cartriges have good use life and ordering them on line is easy, fast and cost effective.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed

The printer is fast and prints good quality. However I was disappointed to find out that the ink is not compatiable with overhead projector transparencies. This is is one of the reasons that I purchased a new printer. Also when I enlarge an image I do not know where the image will be located on the the new copy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
