I have had this unit for 3 yrs now and am pleased with the performance and quality of the print. Only critisism I have is ink useage is very high, whether that is because of amount need to make good copy or lack of storage availability not sure, and now the led display has gone blank

I spend half an hour trying to get black to print properly. I even bought the extended capacity cartridges. I print from work now because it's that bad. Replacing ASAP.

Needs some work

The Good:As far as printing it is a great printer. Colors are bold and the black is black.
Speed is acceptable in both b&w and Color.
The bad: Paper tray is to small. Needs to hold a ream as that is the size most paper comes in.
Scan to email needs a lot of work. you need to be able to put your email address in the printer and it needs to hold an address list so you can just choose who you want to send the scan to not have to scan it to your pc then send it from your PC.
Ink is expensive, but I understand that is how Epson makes there money.

Great all purpose printer

I got my printer for general printing, some photos, and the ability to scan docs when needed. The output is great quality, and like that it is wireless to most of my devices. The only thing I didn't like, was now that I've had this printer for over 3 years, Windows 10 has changed things, and it wasn't real obvious how to use my Windows 10 laptop with the Scanner Utility. BUT, I found some directions on the Epson FAQ area, and my problem was solved.

All-around Great Printer

Easy to set-up, easy to replace cartridges, doesn't need food nor water ... just keeps printing well and scanning well. Wireless is a snap, faxing works like a charm. Great product for the price. I have had several Epson printers over the years (this one for almost 5 years); IMHO they put out workhorse products that go forever ...

I finally stopped buying HP printers. Yesterday made the move to Epson after 20+ years of using HP. Why?
Because the quality and the customer service of HP has been consistently eroding. Epson's reviews on Amazon were far better than HP. Furthermore, after visiting computer stores and seeing the Epson up close - the design and features of the Epson 545 are far bettter on a price comparison basis.
The setup was easier than HP and the questions I had were answered quickly and accurately by the Epson help line.
