Workforce 545 Review - One year after purchase

Overall I am very happy with this multi-function device and the Epson software and websites behind the product.
Pros:
*The device was easy to set up on my wireless network. And the ability to then print to this device from my mobile phone, laptops or even remotely from the web is wonderfully useful.
* The ink is easy to change.
* The automatic document feeder wasn't something I thought I would use, but have used it many times. It is very handy, even if you are only scanning two pages for a fax or whatever.
* Paper tray placement is actually very handy. At first glance I didn't like, it but after using it, I like it better than other designs now.
* The scanner does a great job.

CONS
The only complaint I have is that the ink cartridges are small and I seem to need to replace them more frequently than I think I should.

I haven't really used this printer to it's full ability, but t has performed every task that I have ask of it very well. My son likes it too, since it will fax and print photos etc. But this isn't the first epson that I have owned. My first one was a 640 color, and I loved it, and used it for years. I am very pleased with the workforce performance so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This unit is slow in the scanning process
black and white is good on printing
Color print is slow and not a real good quality...also uses a lot of ink. Ink does not last for many prints.

This copier that I purchased was because of my new job. I needed a more versatile copier. After using all of it's capabilities, I was unable to fax copies to different area codes. I had the phone service check my ingoing as well as my out going phone line. They detected no phone line issues. I did try to figure out the problem on my my own with the owners manual with no success. I contacted the help desk and within 10 minutes. My problem was resolved. Great job! Great copier!

My workhorse

I have five printers (all Epson), each with their own special uses. The WorkForce 545 is the one most used, as it can do pretty much anything. I have never used it for photos, so I don't know how it would handle this, but it has flawlessly completed anything I've asked of it.
For the price, it's an exceptional printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my Epson 545. I don't like how to put the paper in the printer. I t seems to be a bit difficult putting the drawer in and pulling it out. It is a beautiful printer though. I like using it for printing my copies and photos.

Great printer. If I knew that there is the same kind of printer but prints double sided before I brought this one, then I definitely would have brought the other one.

I love this printer! The setup for print, fax, and wireless connection was probably the easiest I've ever done. Print quality is great , but I have not printed pictures yet. A couple problems I encountered due to some of my own errors, were easily solved by referring to the workforce troubleshooting guide. Without going on too much...a great printer for the money.
