This has been a good machine for my home office for about 18 months. It scans, faxes, copies and prints very well with an easy learning curve. Not too bad to install originally but took a couple of tries.
It is now time to replace it. There is a vertical line down all scans and a death rattle when it picks up paper. I guess 18 months can be considered a decent service life for a one man office.
Next time i will look for a printer that will print one envelope without unloading the tray. Loading checks upside down and in reverse order is annoying also.
I bought this printer because it was on sale and i really needed one. And for the price, it was the best of the 3 in the store. Once I got it home, everything did what it was supposed to and has been working perfectly. The ink cartridges last a really long time and the speed in which it prints is very good as well. I highly recommend this particular All in One to anyone who is either a student or small business owner that is on a tight budget but needs a good color printer/scanner.
this is a very good printer I was impressed when I got it and started using it. It was fast and easy to setup to my network and the instructions was simple. I would recommend this printer to anyone.
To tell the truth, I have pretty much only using the printing functions of this machine. The printing has been fine. I tried to have difficulties trying to scan papers. I could not find out how to do so and save on my iMac, so after 30 min., I quit trying. I ended up using my old printer/scanner to do the job. Epson needs to figure out a more intuitive way to set up their scanning functions.
after six month ..this product has been a big headache...the auto answer fax light came on & will not turn off...it also says automatic document feeder is has a paper jam & it does not .
