Very disappointed

After getting my first 545 replaced by Epson, the replacement has the same problem as the first one - the output of both prints and copies are missing horizontal portions.
Will not invest in another Epson printer again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great little printer

I got the 545 when I purchased an iPad. The wireless was easy to set up and works fine as long as I keep paper in the tray ( then it forgets the connection, which may be the iPad's fault.) The scanning is very quick and easy to use, as is the photocopying. As usual, these desktop printers use a lot of ink. This is better than most, because the color inks are in 3 cartridges, so they don't all have to be replaced when one goes dry. This printer is much better than the old Epson's that wasted lots of ink. I've had the unit for almost a year and I'm very happy with it.

We have always purchased Epson brand printers for our personal and business use. They are a great value for the price, dependable, hard-working, & we just can't say enough good about them. Unfortunately the Workforce 545 has not held up to the above mentioned qualities. We are currently on our third one because of ink printing inconsistencies. Currently frustrated with this model but praying it will straighten up and bring itself up to the high qualities the other models have recorded.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best printer I ever had

Over the past 14 years I have owned a number of printers of different brands. This one is the best printer I have ever owned. It is reliable; it's use of ink is frugal; It prints good clear pictures when I am copying magazine material that has pics on it. For the money I don't think it could be improved on. Would I recommend this printer to anyone looking for a new printer? I certainly would. I have had and used this printer for approximately 4 or 5 months now and I print approximately 150 or so pages of color print monthly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Epson Workforce 545 is the best printer I ever had. It's able to do everthing except print on both sides of the paper without reinserting the paper, but I really didn't need that feature. Who does? It can Fax, Scan, Copy, Photos, and of course print. You really can't beat this printer for the money. I'm very satified with it.
