I've only owned the Epson printer for 30 minutes, but it only took 10 of those to set it up wirelessly with my Mac. I can set up some basic electronics, but I was not at all convinced it would be as easy as the reviews I read on Amazon said it would be. However, I was pleasantly surprised and it is up and working just great. It is a relatively small profile, fits nicely on a file cabinet, and prints out high quality pages much more quickly than I expected.
Just bought my WorkForce 545 All in one printer. Right out of the box I can see the quality is excellent, everything appears very functional, and easy to use. Seems very well designed, and engineered.
The best part for me was I was up, and running wirelessly in 15 minutes right out of the box. Works perfect with my Mac.
I researched printers on the Mac site, and the 545 had the highest rating, and awesome reviews.
All in all, an excellent high quality, and very easy printer to setup, and use.
Our home was broken into and we were cleaned out, including my beloved Epson printer. What a work horse, never slowed down, nor even once. It finally came time to get some new equipment and I was lulled into buying an old stand-by brand, sometimes cranky, but generally hard working. BIG MISTAKE! I gave four hours of my life trying to install that cranky printer! I said enough is enough. Wow! did I mess up! Old reliable are often just that - a name. I returned the old reliable brand printer, picked up my new Epson WorkForce 545. Everything just worked, from the 545 telling me I didn't have the cartridges seated correctly to the registration everything worked and worked correctly. What a pleasure the 545 took maybe a half hour to install.
Just installed one on my computer. The step by step directions on and off the computer were excellent. Intalled it without any problems. Looking forward to using it.
copies and prints fast for an ink jet printer. Fax does not work with pc, gives printer port error. Ran troubleshooter and says printer is working correctly. Installed software again and got same result. Sent fax just through machine, says faxed ok but says sent zero pages. will have to call and ask if fax was recieved. Maybe just a quirk but it would be nice to know pages were sent.
I've had this printer approx. a week and a half. I had no problem installing it. The directions were good. You do need to know a little something about the the language used in connecting the wireless part. The only problem is that it is a little noisy. It connected to wifi and to my desktop easily. The scanner, fax, and printer works perfectly. The printing quality was good also and it uses legal paper.
I wanted an all in one that included a fax (though I have to contact the phone company to see if my fax can work with my DSL line). The price was right on this printer and the print outs do look very nice (haven't tired the scanner or copier yet). The only thing I would warn folks about is that it is LOUD. I probably would not have chosen this printer had I known how noisy it was.
