Good value

Almost everything you want in a meadium duty printer. And an exceptionally good value at the sale price.
However Epson missed a several small points:
1. Time and date must be reset whenever power is turned on.
2. Thought it had a true duplex function but rather a feature that stops printing and allows the user to turn the paper over, then resume.
3. No central icon to control scan, fax, ink maintence, etc.

Never have I been so impressed with a piece of technology! This printer is perfect for college because I can print from anywhere on campus, anywhere in my house, I can easily scan documents, and it's incredibly fast! Thank you Epson!

This Epson Workforce 545 replaces an Epson Stylus Plus Photo 825 that we have had for years. Our old Epson has been a good one, we just wanted and needed a little more.
The setup was super easy. Not stressful at all. I am well pleased and look forward to many years of Epson quality.

I like the print, getting it on the wireless network and getting the driver on the computers was easy, and I really liked being able to put where we needed it without having to run cables.
I'd gotten a good but cable-needing printer, because that worked at the time. Then we needed to move some stuff around, and running cable to another floor would have been annoying. Should have gone wireless from the beginning.

Not really a fax.

The written instructions that come with it are minimal and inadequate. Only after registering it and getting an acknowledgement e-mail is there a number given for customer service.
Only after setting it up and having to go on-line could I then find in a footnote, to fine print, that it is a send fax only. That's inadequate and should have been clearly indicated on the box. THEREFORE I'M RETURNING IT TO THE STORE. This means you get to sell it only as a returned/refurbished item at a lower price. The inadequacies are costing you.
It did seem to print and copy well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
