Just purchased our Epson WorkForce 545. It was a great value for the options. One problem we had with set-up was the wireless connection. You have to follow the instructions and set up a wired USP connection, and then you will be able to connect to the wireless. Looking forward to many years of dependable printing and copying.
just got and installed. easy to install (printer and software). the last step of the set-up (Start Here) instructions is great from step 1. - 7. however, after that (7 & 8) it gets confusing. it tends to drift into instructions that are a higher level than the the begining steps. Other wise, so far so good. ; )
The printer was extremely easy to install & update. The connect e-mail option is a chore saver. The price and availability of supplies makes this business decision an easy one!
This is my first Epson printer. I haven't printed any photos yet but it makes excellent copies, both b&w and color. I have printed several reams of paper without any problems. I like it much better than my old printers.
I purchased this all in one with a little hesitation. I did not know much about this brand. I must say, I use this quite often and it is fantastic to use. The printing and copying is fast, the fax I had a little trouble with so I called customer service. They were very professional, spoke clearly, and were precise and very knowledgeable. One button correction and it was working fine. I love this and would recommend it highly. I haven't had to purchase ink yet so I don't know the cost of ink.
Set up to my network worked great with Vista, but two computers running XP did not load the scan software correctly. Installation was simple other than my two old computers (a laptop and desktop).
We've been living with the WorkForce 545 for about a week. Setup was easy, although it did take a bit of time and definitely you need to be patient as it searches the internet for updates.
Scan feature works great (to PDF)
I installed a Epson NX430 for a friend and I like the big HOME button on that Epson machine that my 545 lacks.
