This printer has worked extremely well. I have probably printed well over a thousand sheets and greeting cards without trouble. If the paper ever jams, it is very easy to clear.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The printer works very good and I found that it is easy to use. I was able to find information through Epson's online help for an older computer's needs for the proper driver. I do not know enough about the process of the manufacture of ink to understand why a new replacement is close to the price that I paid for the entire printer including ink that I bought on sale. I do know that my thoughts about the ink was also the subject of a news broadcast on a major TV station in my area with that same question with, we have you now as the answer.

I am very happy with my purchase of this. I have had this for 3-4 months now and not only did it come on time, but it came a few days earlier than expected. This is very easy to set up, and very user friendly. It is fast, and the pictures are beautiful. The ink has lasted very well too, I am just now getting low. I have not had any problems with this whatsoever.

Good but shows stripes

Easy setup and works nicely with iPad and wifi from laptops.
Wish it had a single sheet feed for check writing. Some stripes show up on color images but not enough for me to do more htan a head clean one time. Maybe it needs more passes. Overall very happy.

Can't use low ink settings

I bought this printer for mostly home and personal use after my trusty hp printer/scanner died after about 8 years. I bought it because it was on sale, and it had mostly glowing reviews. However, I should have paid more attention to what people wrote about high ink consumption. I was used to using the low ink setting on my old printer - for everything! Text in b&w, certificates or coupons in color, etc. In my opinion, this printer does a terrible job with the low ink settings - the text looks nothing like the font that was chosen (it becomes very angular and looks like it came out of a printer from the early '90s!) and the color is almost non-existent. I can't print coupons using the low ink settings because it's not legible and the barcodes are not scannable. So what's the point? If you can't use the low ink setting for something so disposable, I don't know how it could be used...
As for scanning, the scanner works, but I have to manually go through my computer to initiate the scan. It usually will not begin just by pressing the appropriate scan buttons on the device. Not a big problem, just a little inconvenient.
Also, we were unable to set up wireless functioning on the printer. Not sure if we were the problem, or if the printer was what made it so difficult (impossible) but it definitely was not user-friendly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this all-in-one model because of the ability to scan items. I have another color printer that only prints. This Epson is great in what ever you are using it for. I could have bought just a scanner, but the WorkForce is just the item I needed to print, scan, and copy items to keep for insurance. The color is superb and the WorkForce is easy to set up and use. I would recommend this printer to any person wanting a great all-in-one printer.
