It's really too soon to tell as I only purchased the printer two days ago. It seems to work very well but I'm I little concerned about the cost of the ink cartridges. Time will tell.
After purchasing a PhotoStylus 1400 for large format photo printing and being very happy, I decided to try a 545 to replace a competitors All-In-One printer whose software was driving me crazy.
545 Install was fairly easy, took about 1 hour for the first PC, half an hour for the next PC.
HINT: With Windows7 and multiple users on a single PC, do the first install using a supervisor/admin login.
Everything works great, really appreciate the Economy ink mode both for the print speed and getting the most out of a cartridge. Document feeder for scanning to PDFs was a pleasent surprise.
Pretty decent photo quality, not the up to the level of the 1400, but there is a 6X price difference.
My problem with the printer is that it is tempermental when trying to print wirelessley and through e-mail. I get a statement saying "document in queue preventing print" This has proven to be quite frustrating. If this problem was solved I would rate the printer cosiderably higher.
I just got this printer yesterday, but it is fast, prints excellent and set up was super easy for an anti-computer setup girl. Everyone can print from their computers anywhere in the house with the wireless option. The ink cartridges to refill are a great price, and that was the main reason for purchasing the machine besides the wireless option. So far it is fantastic, unfortunately havnt had it 6 months or a year to review but previous reviews I have read looks to be good long term.
Epson printer makes sense to me. Though I have it for just a week, no problems, and GREAT prints! It took 2 of me to set this up. Instructions saying when to insert CD would have been helpful, but all is well.
Very easy setup including both USB and wireless support concurrently. My last All-in-one was one OR the other. Seems like very fast printing, and the printer was very inexpensive.
I just got the Epson 545 Workforce today. It was easy to install and is working as advertised. I've printed from my iMac, Macbook Pro, and iPad without any problems. I haven't tried faxing yet, but that will be much later. It's a great deal for the price!
