This printer does everything it was promoted to do, and better! I am very happy with the printing and scanning. Personally, I am not using the fax, so i can't comment on that. Print quality is excellent, and the scans I've done of old photos are crystal clear! Don't be afraid to play with the scan settings and use a higher dpi.
This product exceeded my expectations. The quality of print and the features make this an affordable and value added purchase. Some of the features are found only in more expensive models. The setup for my home network was easy and painless. I would definitely reccommend this product to my friends and colleagues.
Fantastic printer! I like the ease in the setup, quality of print, individual ink cartridges, cost for printer and cartridges, ease of use, style, and value.
Excellent multifunctinal device, surprisingly compact , superfast printing even on wifi, although a bit slower on each initial print job for the day, only real downside is that in order to print envelopes requires removal of the paper tray and resetting the mechanical stops.
It works like a printer should. I've had a lot of trouble with another brand. The Epson is faster, easier to use, and it actually grabs the paper like it should. The paper feeder/scanner works like a charm too. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a printer that you don't need to worry about. I give it my highest rating.
I've had the 545 for about a week. So far I am happy with my choice. The print quality when not using a normal/draft mode is very good, something I was concerned about before purchasing. I reproduce my original art and quality was high on my priority list. So far I am not disappointed. It printed 8 1/2 x 11 boarderless perfectly.
I've duplex printed (manually) and the process went very smoothly. The instructions were very clear when it came time to reinsert the pages. It did take a bit of time for the printer to program the job - 17 pages - but speed really isn't a concern for me, the end result is.
I've scanned to my desktop on a number of occasions and am very pleased with the quality. Using the ADF sometimes will skew one of the pages a tiny bit, but not badly.
I am monitoring the ink usage to determine how economical it is. This is one of my major issues with all printers, and hopefully this one will be more efficient than most.
The one thing that I think could be improved is the paper tray. It is a bit cumbersome to insert while keeping the paper and guides in place. I also wish it had a manual feed tray so that I don't always need to use the tray.
I am pleased with the overall quality of the unit.
I did have a bit of difficulty connecting to my Wi-Fi at first. However, I called Epson support (on a Saturday afternoon), and a support tech (Grace) promptly resolved my issue. She had me turn my router off, pinged my router to my IP address, then turn my router back on and I was good to go. Other than that, this printer is extremely fast and efficient. I get an excellent wi-fi connection (even though my router is located upstairs). It is also very easy to set up (my router was already located on the list to choose from as soon as I turned the printer on, which was nice). Epson's customer support is awesome.
I have only had this printer for a couple of weeks but I am really impressed with it. This installation was extremely easy, and there were various options (local, remote or lan printer). The quality of the output is very good. The colors are crisp and clear. The print speed is alos good for a home printer. I would definately recommend this to others,
