quick effective intuitive setup

I have been using with disastrous results a printer from another company. This Epson printer took a tenth of th etime to install. If the ease of use is anything like the installation, I will be using this printer for quite some time. Ink, wireless configuration, test rints, instructions, all were easily and effectively completed. Great product so far.

my only complaint is trying to print an envelope!!!
I just purchased this and may return it.
You have to take all of the paper out the machine
and then make adjustments to the paper tray
to type an envelope.
I type several evvelopes a day and not at the same time. This is very annoying to me.

Almost good enough

Would be a great printer if it would consistently work via wifi. It prints most of the time but rarely works when trying to scan from Acrobat or directly from the printer. I have to plug in a USB cable to get it to scan.
If you don't need the wifi, then it's a great printer.

Easy installation and excellent quality

I just installed the EPSON 545. Typically installations always cause me grief. The EPSON instructions, disk, and system update worked absolutely perfectly the first time. I never once began to wonder what to do.
My first document was a 4 page letter containing a dozen photos from two trips. It looked great. I have since printed several items. I am very pleased.

I love the WorkForce printer. The only thing to make it better would be a paper tray to accommodate 14 inch paper.

Setting up Printer on wireless network

Since its day 1 can't talk much about the overall quality or durability but what I can talk about is the simplicity of setup. With the electronics so prevalent in our homes these days you need to have ease of use and setup. The Epson workforce did just that. From setting box down to printing first page we are talking under 15 minutes. Heck I asked my teenage son to fix me a glass of tea and he still hasn't brought it. I was reluctant about buying a printer of this size(comical considering my first printer ever had a custom stand built just to hold the weight.) It was only a few dollars more than the "small-in-one" and it has way more features. Longtime user of another brand and I don't forsee myself going back to anytime soon. The cost was right, the size was right, the ink cartridges were some of the cheapest ones at the store. The cheaper ones boasted about their cost of ink but when you read the part about pages printed yield they couldn't compare.

The all-in-one performs beautifully. Went from an Epson Photo Stylus I had for years and I don't even remember the first one I had. I only changed because I wanted to combine my old Espon scanner and Printer into one unit. All of my Epson products have been reliable and the CSR's at the 1=800 # are fantastic. Always use Epson ink products and order online, but they are readily available in our small town stationery store in case I need one right away. Nice to have a product that works so well and lasts until you want to change it, not because what you had boke.

1. Paper Tray is very difficult to remove, load, and insert back into the printer.
2. There is no way to scan a document directly into an email. you have to download it into a thumb drive. Remove the thumb drive and insert it into your computer and then save it to a file and then you can attach it to an email.
3. Set up was fairly easey and self explainatory.
Unable to darken the back side of checks so that the watermark is visable.
Printing is straight forward and easy..
