I don't like the interface buttons to program the printer to do what I wanted. Not user friendly, but the price was good and the printing quality is great.
I've used this unit to print, scan, copy, and fax. I really can't compare this unit with others with those features, because this is the first of its kind I've ever owned. I don't even think I've utilized the Workforce 545's features to their fullest. But it does everything I want, and there's never been a hitch.
The print quality also seems to be very good, though I've never tried to print any photos. One thing that probably helps print quality is using only genuine Epson ink. I've used cheap knockoffs before and always struggled with print quality. You get what you pay for.
This unit has served me well in my personal use and also in my small business use (that's where faxing is beneficial). Other than printing, the feature I've used most has got to be scanning. I regularly scan documents into my laptop and them email them as attachments. It always works well, in my opinion.
The machine works fine, however, my ink finishes so quickly even though I have been doing more things by hand to try to save the ink! I am not sure if the machine guzzles down the ink much more than a bigger machine would or if Epson is now putting less ink into each cartridge.
I am thrilled with the way this workforce 554 works, the printing is clear, and as an artist ( painter ), the photocopies I make on the 554, almost perfect ( nothing is perfect), the idea of it being wireless is fabulous, it means if I want work on my lap top I can print as I go along, without having to transfer it to my PC. Neil leaned movements I could see it needs, is for some reason they will only print one envelope at a time, anyway I will purchase, if I need another printer, from Epson.
