Works well with Linux

My main concern was working with Linux as both my wife and I use that exclusively. Happy to say it was fairly simple. In Ubuntu it was a matter of going to Epson's site and down loading the driver and, once unpacked, adding the printer as default. On my wife's Mint Linux laptop the OS automatically saw the printer and downloaded the correct driver for the series. We are running off usb cables but will be setting up the wifi next shot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like it because it was very easy to install and it works great wireless with my Ipad 2 and all of my other computers. I gave it 5 sars. If you have trouble getting it to work turn your firewall off.

Great printer. Easy to set up over a wired network.
However, I am finding it impossible to set up for remote printing. All of the documentation points to the same place ... but the web site it wants to take you to fails. If I can overcome this hurdle, then it will have met all the reasons why I bought an Epson.

this printer is very good. my only gripe is that when you make colored copies of pictures on regular paper, the colors tend to blend one part to form on to another; it's not clear in its separation from one object to the next. an example is when people stand in a picture, the background color is slightly fused with the people so that they sort of become one whole portrait. the people are not clear in the separation of ink enough to know that the people are in the foreground and the background is in the background. still, it's not a bad printer. clarity in color on "REGULAR white paper" is not really this printer's best asset. picture quality paper is fine... oh, the printing speed on the machine is very good (color is quick and black/white is very fast)!

Great Printer

I have had many printers through the years but My Epson WorkForce 545 is by far the BEST printer of them all. It's quiet, good on ink, great price, prints anything I tell it to print in excellent color or black and white. I will recommend an Epson Printer to everyone I know and I will never buy another printer unless it is an Epson. I used only Epson printers in my college graphic classes and why I waited so long to buy this one is beyond me.

Fast

The printer is fast printing Word documents. It took awhile to set up scanning but it works great. I wished one could personally view the scan object and then change dimensions. As it is, one can guess on the size you want. I found the scanned object was quite sharp, I have had no paper feeding problems. One has to make sure the paper stack is tight and stable. I am using Wi-Fi for the connection, which works quite well.
