Epsom WorkForce 845 All-In-One Printer

This machine was well reviewed everywhere I looked, so I purchase one just over a year ago. It makes wonderful prints and copies and is quick (I never used the fax or scanner functions), however my first one needed to be replaced after 3 months when bars started appearing across the prints and copies. The new machine was good for about 9 months, and then began to have similar trouble, with bars appearing in the black ink across prints and copies. I have to clean the heads every 4-6 copies to fix this. It was no longer under warranty by then (more than a year since original purchase), so I am stuck. I would not buy this brand again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After researching several products, I decided to purchase the WorkForce 845. I am very happy with the product. The only drawback is that I have since upgraded to Windows 8. The software does not support the upgrade. Therefore I am unable to set up the machine for wireless use. Did try to download the upgrade. but was not successful. I am not very tech savvy, so this could be a user problem, not a product issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Workforce 845 - Solid and good value

I work from home and need a solid all-in-one. I do not use it heavily so value pricing and ease of use were important. The 845 works well and has met my expectations. No issues yet.
I like the large volume paper supply, the automatic 2 sided printing, and particularly I appreciate the the way the Paper Feed on top can be easily closed off so that the paper feed mechanism is not collecting dust 24/7. I purposely picked this 845 because the newer models had all the paper feed mechanisms exposed with no cover. My 845 by comparison looks more tidy and stays cleaner. Like it very much.

Just recommended the 845 to a client who needs to replace her printer. Told her about all the features for a relatively low price. My only critique is the various ink tanks instead of one blk and one color.
It has worked pretty well until late when it started doing some strange things like not printing and having to shut it down and restart to get it back to normal.

Auto feed doesn't work

Tried to use the auto-feed to copy and to scan with no success. Only used 4 originals. Makes this All In One Printer more like "very few" in one.

Third time I'm charmed

We had an issue with the printer when we first received it- the ink never worked right. They sent us a second one and the paper feeding didn't work. The third one works perfectly, though. I love it! And they made it really easy to get a new one when the first two didn't work- awesome customer service.
