I have had this printer for the past 7 months and have been very pleased today.
I encountered my first problem with fax calls today, 3 days after initiiating a distinctive ring to my phone line.
I called the support tech at epson. and she was very helpful. I was able to resolve the problem shortly after hanging up with her, which leads me to believe that the changes she made took effect.
Very good on ink. Epson, keep them coming.

Works as expected

The printer works as expected. The print quality is excellent as is all Epson Printers. The printer is used wireless and worked right from the start flawlessly. We Fax, Print Color photos, and general printing, all works very well. One thing that we like especially is that when you set the printer to print BW the settings will stay on BW and not return to color after printing. This was a problem with previous printers that kept returning to Color and using the color ink cartridges.

Great Printer

I researched numerous printers and read hundreds of reviews. When I finally made my decision it was for the WorkForce 845 and I am very satisfied. I have had no problems setting it up on my network, scanning numerous packets, printing large quantity of documents, making some photo copies (small quantity) and even changing to a new computer. Changing ink is easy too. I do not use it as a fax machine so I can't comment on that but everything else works very well. This is a solid printer. I've now had it for 2 1/2 months and use nearly every day.

So far so good

Set up was easy, software loading was simple - instructions were clear. printed out documents and forms within an hour and half of starting the set-up. Nothing negative to say. Replaced a failed printer and old fax machine / scanner in one step. Should note that I have had great luck with a competitive manufacturer but this product had more features and more of what I wanted. First time using Epson, so far so good.

It is about $100 cheapter than the compitition which I could put toward a NEW set of ink supplies!!! As a former user of the compitition I look forward to the savings in ink costs!!! Although some of the parts to the printer could be better made I am still happy with the outcome and output!!!

I love this printer. I love the convenience of the automatic double sided printing and I jst love watching it work. This new technology is wonderful. Sosme times I am very easily impressed. But the important thing is that I reaaly give my printer a workout and I really, really love the ability economy of ink usage which is phenomenal when compared to some printers I seen. (I have convinced my best friend to buy an the single tray version of this printer after seeing that his prnter of a certain brand runsout of ink completely after about 200 copies. And this being an exremely brand, one of several pushed by business and electronics stores. Also the ink is rather expensive.)
Because of my interests and activities, I my make from three hundred to several thousand copies a month and I can and have worked several printers into hysteria or worse. (when preparingfor a family reunion and presenting the family tree and other family information, I have printed in excess of ten thousand copies in just a couple of days. I al have to print numerous multipage documents for various shows and expos in which I am a vendor or presentor and this printer has really made this aspect of my work a lot easier. Also, having two paper trays with the ability to have different paper types and sizes has made it easer for me to prepare and print different document types quickly with minimal loss of time.
I also must say that I have loved the scanning capabilities of my Epson All-in-one printers, and this is no exception. The color is true and brilliant as also with the printing, and I can create my own professional copies from scans as well as from oringinal documents. I have professional quality prints and documents on my schedule; and believe me, I often need new documents or changes to be made at the last minute or a a time when the printer's shop is closed.
I do have some problem with scanning double sided documents, but I have tried only once and I am sure that that was my fault. I often am behind in my understanding of technology and learn as I go, so sometimes it takes me a while to do things most people would get immediately. I am sure that this printer is up to whatever tasks I ned it to perform; and due to my experience with other Epson printers and scanners, I know that I just need to look at the manual and try again and that little problem will be taken care of. I often work with technology, especially my computer and printers, wishing that I could do a certain thing, or knowing that I should be able to but somehow cannot quite get it right, only to later stumble upon the way to do it qite by accident. (I should probably be more diligent in refweering to the manuals, tutorials and instructions, but I do enjoy discovering things fortuitously after not really getting it for a while. This has made me apprciate this and other Epson priners all the more.
I am sure that I will continue to to be satisfied and pleasantly surprised by my Epson Workforce 845 for tens and even hundreds of thousands of prints and copies to come.

Disappointing

Very easy to set up and works well with regular paper. Having the second tray was great - we loaded it with PhotoGlossy paper - no need to switch paper in and out - great. Worked fine for a few days but then started jamming every time - impossible to print with photo paper - tried all of the tips and tricks. Reading around on the internet revealed that the printer is not specified to work with paper heavier than 24lb. The printer has been relegated to a second office. Extrememly disappointed - I have great respect for the print quality that Epson gets - but all of their printers have problems with paper feed - and I have owned several over many years.
