I bought this particularly for its Apple Air-print capability, which works great, however, the wireless connection to my Windows computers turned out to be an unexpected blessing. My other printers of a different brand would either dropout occasionally or would never connect. I would end up re-installing the software for them. Great printer for the price!

WorkForce 845 Exceeds Expectation

I purchased the 845 based on the review on CNET, the current sales price (which was $60 off), and my research into the lower total cost of ownership (particularly the lower price of ink and its economical consumption of ink). So far, it has met all of my expectations and exceeded several of them. CNET said the speed of the 845 was fast, but it is really fast, and the start-up time is much, much better than I expected. The user interface at the control panel took a little study to get used to it, but now I'm very comfortable with it and it takes little time to get a task started. The interface (both wired and wireless) to the PC is excellent, and I particularly like the ability to set parameters on the printer (like FAX speed dial) from the PC. The way it faxes by first reading the pages into memory, freeing the pages for other uses, and then sending the fax is a big plus over my last all-in-one. The 845 software drivers on my PCs have no impact on PC performance that I can tell (my last printer's drivers slowed the PC down on a wireless connection if the PC was turned on and the printer was off, but the 845 does not). The seamless integration with Windows FAX and SCAN and Microsoft Office is a plus. With a little effort, I have been able to do odd-size labels (Avery mini-labels for file folders) with no problem. Both firmware and software driver updates were required for the new product out of the box, but the process went very smoothly over my high-speed Internet connection. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the product and am looking forward to using it almost daily.

Fast & Powerful! But . . . .

I am a non-profit and this is now my workhorse printer. It is fast and powerful. Not enough documentation came with the printer to really get you up and running in all the little details. Oh, yeah you could copy, print and scan but the devil is in the details . . . . especially the scanning. I wish they'd had a more in depth follow the 1, 2, 3, printer manual. All in all. I'm pretty satisfied, would highly recommend it!

Pros: fast, great quality, works as advertised.
Cons: Set up was a little tricky, especially for us guys that think they can do it without reading the instructions. About half way through, there was a new screen that showed up. But - the instructions said not to push any part of the screen yet. Good advice. LOL I did think it was kind of cheap that epson did not include a usb cable. Other than that, it's a great all in one printer.

Epson Workforce 845

Just got home from purchasing my new printer. Have to say I am thrilled! Had the printer set up on my network within 5 minutes (no exaggeration) and on my computer shortly after. I haven't even been home an hour yet, and I have already been printing documents. I haven't tried to print from my Iproducts yet, but I will; and I am just about to try the duplex.

I purchase the WorkForce 845 after checking a variety of reviews online. It was highly rated and after installing it, I completely agree. The installation instructions were simple and the entire process worked perfectly. Within minutes of installing it, I printed from both my PC and iPad with nothing more that the power cable plugged in. I sent an e-mail with an attachment to it and it printed perfectly.

Very happy

We bought this printer thinking it would be a great scanner and for printing letters and information from web sites. We really didn't plan to print photographs. Today I discovered that not only does it print clear, crisp documents, but it does an excellent job of printing photos as well. I couldn't be happier with the performance.
