Epson Workforce 845 all in one printer

I just bought this yesterday and I was pleased with the easy and pretty quick set up. But when I actually started using it, pleased turned to peeved. The print quality is great if you are not in a hurry. However in a busy office you rarely have time to wait for 1 minute and 23 seconds for 1 check to print. There are too many settings to change for different print and or scan jobs. I'll be taking it back for another brand tomorrow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

poor print quality

This brand new printer worked fine for regular text documents. When trying to print more colorful documents or brochures it failed miserably after about 5 copies. The ink skips and becomes blurry and grainy. This was after multiple attemps and test page re-prints. Yes it has plenty of ink.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Copying Won't Collate

I'm making 15 copies of a 20 page report, and just discovered the 845 does not collate when you copy documents. So now I have to scan the document and print it from my computer to get collated copies. That's not right. The copy function needs a collate feature.
Also discovered when faxing a lengthy document, it is scanned into memory and then sent, but if you get a busy signal, you cannot just try calling again with the document still in memory. Instead, you have to start from scratch, so you have to wait for the document to rescan before the re-faxing starts. Not good.

Problems

Initial setup was easy. However, I am left without scan feature. Upon looking up my specific issue it seems that alot of people have the same problem with little help via documentation to resolve the problem.

Wireless connection is unreliable, especially for scanning. At times, multiple attempts are necessary in order to scan or print documents.
Paper feed problems, with document feeder and paper tray, are also common.
Document quality is adequate when the device is working properly, however inconsistency of operation is an issue and especially irritating when under a time crunch.

I have owned 3 Printers, this is by far the best I have owned to date! Easy to hook up! Easy to hook up the wireless! Now I can print from my Ipod and other wireless PC'S! You can't beat the price of the printer and ink for what they offer you!! Thanks Epson for a wonderful product!!!
