Just a great printer? Easy to set up and use. Works with all tools: iPad , iPhone, android phone, android tablets, computers of all ages.

Got some down sides

After I bought this printer I have found some small things I really don't like. For instance, printing envelopes is a serious hassle. It does a pretty good job faxing and copying but they need another level of print quality-now they only have draft and good quality. Knowing what I know now about this printer, I wished I would have gotten another model. The envelope thing is a big turn off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wireless Scan is NOT available with Mac OS Lion

Epson online support advises that users running Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7 that wish to use the SCAN BUTTON on the front of the printer MUST connect to the printer with a USB cable. The whole entire Epson Scan software does NOT work with Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7. (I guess it defeats the whole idea of wireless scanning). Furthermore, the ABBEY FineReader software that is included that converts scanned documents to Editable Text (OCR) is not supported on Mac OS X 10.7 either, contrary to the manufacturer’s representations.

It may be fast but starts slow and is loud. The scanning software does not allow for a monthly folder. Since installing the software my computer has slowed down. Like the touch screen.

WORST PRINTER EVER

If I could give this a negative 5, I would.
Bought this, because it was the only one at the time that would print from my Samsung tablet, WOW what a mistake. ALWAYS looses connection, with my computer and tablet, every time I try to print, always seems to have a "pin error" code.
I would not recommend this printer to my worst enemy!!!
DO NOT BUY!!!

Software and installation is AWFUL

At this point I have don't even have the printer drivers installed!
I am running Windows 7 x64 and the drivers simply will not install.
I can get everything but the printer drivers installed and I have tried everything 2 or 3 times.
I even tried to install the Windows Update for the Epson Drivers and they will not install.
I have never in my life had such trouble with a piece of hardware!
I am MCSE and I am a certified PC Specialist so I am not lacking in skills on this minor task!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GREAT PRINTER - SERIOUS FAX ISSUES

PRO: Great printer, fast, good quality, software and drivers for Mac OS X work good, a little difficult to set up but then is ok. Small footprint, lots of options for printing, scanning, etc.
CONS: Serious fax issues in not being compatible with some common modern answering machines though it is connected as per instructions, etc. Never had a printer that had been incompatible with just about any answering system.
I would recommend this to a friend!

- Directions for set up need to clearly state that if you set up by USB first, you have to go through the complete set up again for wireless.
- Very disappointed that the printer does not wake up from sleep when trying to print wirelessly. You have to get up and go turn the printer on. This is not user friendly and counter productivity. This seems so basic.
- Troubleshooting instructions are in need of detail.
