Fix the tilted printout syndrome!

Why not full length side rails in the paper trays, to prevent the paper feeding on a tilt and giving disturbing and annoying tilted copy????
Even when meticulous about putting the paper in straight, the rollers grab the sheet and it tilts because of no resistance at the sides until the paper is already hopelessly at a slant in the rollers, and can't straighten out!
I operate a small home business. Easy hookup. Software installation takes a bit of time, but it is a matter of just waiting for everything to complete.Works flawlessly as a network printer using the RJ45 connector, linked to several other computers.
Nice big total 500 sheet paper trays that are configurable to allow for different papers each tray. The trays fed nicely with two-sided gloss 50 lb paper, as well as, the lighter regular paper.
Touchscreen works beautifully without any hard presses. Menu on screen is common sense, easy to understand by anyone without reading a manual. Much easier to use than even its predecessor WF 600, which was not user friendly when using the menu.
It's tall, but the actual footprint on the desk is not dissimilar from most printers. Scanner does a great fast job.
Prints on the machine are great once you set up the preferences for the print, and there are many possibilities. However, Normal print on regular paper is disappointing with any photo or graphics, which is dull, and in my case, has a visible pixel line every inch. This is the case even after doing a lengthy alignment, and with a good nozzle check. This only appears in the Normal setting... disappointing. It is not that fast compared to the WF 600 that I just junked, in any print setting... disappointing, but not a deal breaker.
Comes with 127 oversize cartridges, which is good and will last a couple of weeks until I can order some more.
I have not tried the Fax. I can print emails without being connected to the computer, apparently. I have not tried it, yet, or found a reason, yet, for this feature, in my business.

Epson WorkForce 845 All-in-One Printer

The picture printing quality of this printer is awesome. The wireless setup was a bit tedious, but not unduly so. Text printing is also great.
So far, I have not yet recieved a fax, but setting up the fax was faultless. Scanning and copying is also great. I wish that ICE technology was included in the scanning software, even if the printer cost a bit more. Those are not complaints, I know when I have recieved value for my money. Trying to mix paper media does not seem to work, but is not expected at this pricing level. This printer seems to perform as advertised. I cannot yet comment on ink costs as my printer is to new for me to make a determination.
I run a small home office. Also, I am an avid photographer. This printer prints pictures exceptionally well and it is easy to use. So far, I have not had a need to consult the manuals. When setting up the WIFI, save yourself some time by initially using a USB cable. This is a great product. Also, it is light enough for one person to move it around the office.

When my previous printer broke, I didn't realize it would lead me to such greener printing pastures. The Epson 845 came at highly recommended by a professional tech expert and has been 100% validated so far. The install was relatively simple. The product lives up to it's claims. I am totally excited to have a chance to use every single one of it's features like scanning or printing photos. My previous printer was not set up for wireless printing, but this one is, and I love it! The only couple of sticking points have been configuring the set up for printing black and white, instead of color, and getting the auto-duplex feature to work. Overall, it's an outstanding product. It's high enough quality and capacity that I actually could start a home business when I graduate and I would already have everything I need in this printer.

A VERY VERSATILE MACHINE. ONLY PROBLEM IS WHEN YOU PRESET TO ECONOMY PRINT SETTING, THE MACHINE IS SO FAST THAT IT HAS NOT FINISHED PRINTING THE FULL PAGE THUS PICKINGS UP THE FOLLOWING PAGE TO PRINT THE END OF IT. OTHERWISE, THE PRINTER DOES WHAT YOU WANT IT TO DO!

So far, so good. Very quick which is great. It does generate a fax receipt, contrary to another reviewer. Need to figure out how to default to tray #2.
