Great Printer with wifi capabilities

I purchased a Workforce 840 (the previous model) but needed something with the ability to easily print remotely from my ipad. This printer is great. I chose the original one because my previous printer ran through ink at a ridiculously fast rate and the cost of ink was prohibitive. This one does much better, using the #127 cartridges. Great printer and a good buy.

I like most things about this printer that I use for my business. It is fast, doesn't burn thru ink and has handled vast volumes without any issues. The key pad for entering the phone number for faxes is not very responsive, but would not keep me from purchasing again. Have had issues keeping it connected wirelessly to my laptop, but that may just be me.

Have had two 845's. The first died two days after bringing it home , but thanks to your wonderful coustmer service I recived a new one in a matter of a few days and it works very well. I have a laptop that is 100 feet away from the printer and I use a router to go wireless and and it doesn't skip a beat. Great buy. Thank you Epson

I would like to say that this is a great machine.I am in the process of getting rid of alot of papers and go digital. It has stood up to 1000's of scans with no problems.The wireless printing ability is wonderful and very easy to configure. Would recommend this machine to handle all your scanning needs in a home enviroment.

Best Printer Ever!!

We have owned the WorkForce 845 for over a year and it is, BY FAR, the best printer we've ever used! My husband and I are both self-employed, and we put this printer through boot camp on a regular basis. We use the XL cartridges and they last a long time. They are reasonably priced, and go a long way. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a high level of printing projects, i.e. presentations, spreadsheets, etc. It's working out very well for us!

Best printer I've owned

I love this printer. EPSON really did think of everything when they released this product, including useful features like AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and standard WiFi. It has jammed ONCE since I've owned the product, and that was because I loaded the tray with too much paper. The two paper trays have high capacity, and the second tray takes legal paper. The built in duplexer is efficient and very good and has saved me reams of paper.
By far my favorite thing about EPSON is how quickly they update their drivers when a new Mac or Windows OS is released. You never have to wait to upgrade because your printer will be ready.
Good job, EPSON. Definitely the best printer I've ever owned.

Missing something...

The overall installation was quite simple with the mac, and the setup on the printer was also quick and simple. Over all the print quality is great and the graph paper printing is from edge to edge; quite impressive. The other features are requesting a USB meaning that it will only print wireless but not communicate in any other way without the USB. :-( I was counting on having scan to PC/PDF/Email wireless too!
Maybe the better model has those capabilities!
For now I rate this printer a 8.5 and will update this post after a few projects.

Printer itself is great, but repeat network issues

I really like the print, scan, and copy capabilities of the Epson 845. When it works, it works really well. Unfortunately, we have had repeated instances of the printer not being able to print. The Epson tech support has been FABULOUS - they walk me through every step to get the printer back up and running, and eventually they are able to diagnose the problem each time - but it has been way more maintenance than I expected to keep the printer printing. It does also use ink faster than I expected, but I like that it can proactively notify me when ink levels are down.
