Great printer, Drivers a problem

This is a great upgrade from my Epson WorkForce 600 with a host of terrific features, and very fast.
BUT, installing the printer drivers was a nightmare which kept reporting "unable to find an appropriate software on your system after running software update" . . . this happened on a 27" iMac and 15" MacBook Pro retina display, both running Mac OS 10.8.2 Mountain Lion. The included CD didn't work with this system, and multiple Internet downloads all resulted in the same problem. So far, AirPrint is my only solution.

Nice printer

As inexpensive printers go, this printer is a bargain. Print quality is good and ink costs are well below what I expected. I probably would have given 5 stars if I bought this for a Windows based product, but Epson makes you jump through multiple hoops if you have a Mac.

Epson Workforce 845

I purchased this printer about a month ago. Installation was easy and the printer works great. The scanner has exceptional clairity as does the print. The fax also works very well. It is wireless and you can wire in directly from your desktop or use the wireless feature as well. I can print documents from my phone or I pad. This printer is really cool. All the reviews I read prior to my purchase were all great.

Great All Around

This is an awesome machine. From printing great color to crisp black and white to copying with various 2-sided options it has handled everything I need to do. I highly recommend the 845 as a great all-in-one for home or small office.

Easy Setup for a Great Printer

I have gone through plenty of printers in the past. Just replaced my HP OfficeJet with the EPSON WorkForce. I am extremely pleased with how easy it was to set it up with my PC and wireless router. My IPhone, IPad and my laptop all can use this printer even with my PC turned off. The print quality is very crisp and clean. Not really a choice for printing pictures but it does the job. This all in-one printer is a great choice for home or small office for the price.

Good printer -- tough setup for Mac

First of all, this is a high quality printer that works well. Image quality and speed are excellent. Having the ability to use AirPrint and email attachment printing is a nice plus. Wifi setup works well for multiple users.
On the other hand, doing the installation of the required print drivers, extra applications, and remote printing was very awkward and time consuming on the Mac. The documentations is very sparse in this regard and it was only through trial and error and a couple of calls to tech support that you that I got the Scanning software (a completely separate download) and other functionality of the printer to work as advertised.
Would rate this a five star if the installation of the additional features would have gone smoother and the documentation were better on the use of these features.
Once installed, however, the printer and features work great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

YES YOU DID THE INSTRUCTIONS SO SOMEONE OUT OF THE TECK FIELD COULD GET IT UP AND RUNNING !!! WITH OUT HAVING TO GO GET TWO BEERS JUST TO COOL DOWN . BETTER THAN THE LAST HP I GOT.
