Great Picture, but questionable design

This set has a fantastic picture, but that is not where my problem with the design of the TV lies.
This TV lacks a VESA wall mount pattern. Yes you can you the stand as a wall mount bracket, but the design of the stand and the mounting pattern makes it next to impossible to mount the TV to the studs in the walls.
The wall mount uses 2 brackets (included) that mount 9" apart. Standard wall studs are 16" apart. Using this stand, you'll be lucky to hit one stud when hanging your TV. Also, since each bracket has a four bolt patter, more likely than not only 2 of the 4 bolts will make it into a stud, again if your lucky.

I cannot believe with the engineering staff that your company has that the remote control for this TV is affect by line of sight, and is not a state of the art radio transmitter. Our TV is a table,we placed the sound bar in front of the TV, and the sound bar blocks the signal from the remote to the TV.
What a pain it is to use the remote control.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just purchased this TV. It truly is better than all the flat screen television I've owned.From Samsung to Toshiba and Sharp.The picture is just awsome.Ive never written a review on anything I've purchased until I brought this TV in a 50 inch.Its nice and affordable Sony I really need a job I could sell these TV with no problem:)

Worked Good

I was a life long Sony customer until 32 days after the I purchased my 3-D Sony tv, Sony sound bar and wireless bass, Sony 3-D Blue-ray DVD player and several 3-D movies. The tv broke, and Sony's customer service hasn't done much of anything to help ease my mind about the whole situation. As of now (1 Nov 14), I have been without a tv for about two (2) WEEKS. I still don't know if I will get a replacement tv or what?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything about the TV is just as expected, the colors are true, the sound is good, the design is probably the best among its peers, the smart features are good, but not great, it is perfect for our family room where we watch most of our kids shows, such as cartoons in Netflix which is a cinch to start due to the remote Netflix button. So here are the cons: the mount design is less than stellar since it only attached to wall in one position ( the wall mount is included, you just need the wall anchors) and if you want, for example, a multi-positional wall mount I hear you need an adapter since this one does not have the universal mounting hole positions in the back (only two as opposed to four), but overall the TV is great, it met all my expectations minus the mounting options. The price was good, but since it was a bit more than all competitors I would have expected the mounting options to be at least the same if not better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

its a good tv

tv has a great picture,you can't download just any apps.not compatible with my mac so i can't do anything at all.you have to buy a separate camera for it to work and hook a cable.Also the stand they provided with the tv is so flimsy and not sturdy at all,You would think you spend $1000 they can make a better stand for it.Customer service is ok only have to explain myself to 5 or more rep about the problem .and after all that they can't send me a diff stand,
