I have two Sony Blu Ray Players, have had one for just over a year (a BDPS3100), then bought a Sony 3D Television so I bought a BDPS 5200 about 4 months ago. Funny Sony asked for my opinion now since last week BOTH players decided to brick themselves for whatever reason. Not an electrical surge, I have protection from that...I also have about $4k worth of other AV equipment and the only things that died at the same time were these two Sony Blu Ray players that are both connected to wireless. Went online to see if anyone else had the same problems from Sony and apparently I'm not the only one out there with this problem. Most attribute this issue with frequent software updates that go bad. My two BR players are bricked, both do the same thing upon pressing the power button, get a "Blu Ray" logo, then the screen goes black, and stays that way...won't even go to the menu screen. Push the power button for ten seconds, power goes off, comes back on, and does the same thing. So I'm thinking to myself, why not exercise the warranty, right? Well, apparently those warranties are not for long and here's the kicker...YOU the customer have to pay to ship it back even if it is under warranty, and hopefully it is covered by warranty because if it isn't, by the time everything is said and done you've paid more to get it fixed than you did for the item in the first place! Piece of junk, will never buy Sony blu ray again. I just hope my "70 Sony television doesn't p@@p out on me next week, Thanks Sony! Peace!

Hi Wallito, You may try resetting your modem/router and reset your player to the factory default settings. SETTINGS > Resetting > Reset to Factory Default Settings > All Settings. Thanks.
I thought there would be an hdmi so i could move my other box to my room.

Great features, cheep design

I love the menu and easy access to Netflix and Amazon prime. Screen mirroring doesn't work very good, and couldn't get browser to work but I didn't buy it for those. Kind of cheep design. The dvd door fell off my first one. One complaint over all, if you accidentally stop a blue ray disk, it goes all the way back to the beginning. It's terrible.

Easy to setup, reliable player. Very good quality product. Aftermarket online firmware updates keep product current - not often seen in other manufacturers.
