Sony 3D Blu-Ray Disk player

This Blu-Ray player works great, have had it for about 4 weeks now and not a problem with it. Sometimes I don't have a Blu-Ray to watch but I still have other choices such as NetFlicks, Crackle and/or several other choices. The player is small and compact, therefore it does not take up much room.

Good Player but it has some issues

Overall works well but I've been having a issue with the unit turning on. For what ever reason some times the unit won't turn on by remove or button the the player. I have to unplug the unit and plug it back in which seems to reset it. This happens weekly. I need to take it back for a replacement but haven't had time yet.
The unit itself is good, I wish the remote had a keyboard it would make it more functional when surfing the web or typing in movies via netflix. I'm happy with the purchase but wish the unit didn't have the power issue.

Works Great.

I bought this unit to replace a Panasonic unit that died after just 8 months of use. It had never worked correctly anyway, as it never did connect to the internet via WiFi to do software updates (which I didn't confirm until after I saw how well this Sony unit worked).
This Sony unit connected immediately (with positive feedback, so I knew I was connected) and worked great, right out of the gate. I now have at least 5 dozen sites available, and many are free.
The Blu-ray functionality has been flawless. Even playing some scratchy old DVD's without issue.
The unit has a small footprint. The remote is also smaller than most, which was a plus for me. My only negative comment would be that the pause button should be the same size as the play button and placed directly under the play. But that is very minor unless you have big paws. Overall, I give this unit a big thumbs up. Nice design, great functionality, WiFi compatible and easy to navigate.

Pros: Great picture quality, nice / intuitive features.
Cons: Not a fan of the pyramidal top - makes it impossible to stack other components (Video switch, Digital video hub) on top of it.

Great Replacement for Samsung

Had a brand new Samsung Blu-Ray Disc player and couldn't get Netflix to stream without continual freeze-ups. Tried everything to get it working with no success. Samsung claimed it was a wifi issue which didn't make sense because Netflix worked on every other device in the house flawlessly. I gave up, did some research and bought this Sony player. Set up was super easy and I haven't had a Netflix problem since. Works great. Very reliable. Wish I would have bought it sooner.

Sony always builds the best

I have been using this Blu-Ray player for a few months without any trouble or regret. This machine offers much more than a 3D Blu-ray player, I have mine connected to my home network and I can play movies from my computer through this Blu-ray player. I like the music player option that allows me to play the music from my PC also. This Blu-ray player can play every type of video file including MKV which many older machines including the X-Box 360 cannot. This machine adds the perfect touch to my home theater system by integrating network and internet connectivity with dozens of options and possibilities. Of course the audio and video quality are incredible too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the best Blu-ray Player I have ever had. I would not only recommend this to a friend, I would recommend this to anyone in the market for the best Blu-ray Player made. I've enjoyed mine so much, not just for the quality of it, yet for the fact that it has the Triluminous Technology built in. What that technology does is that it separates each shade of any color, no matter how closely related they are ( ie ) two shades of blue and any other color that cannot be seen by the naked eye, even when they overlap will be able to be seen by the naked eye when a Blu-ray is being played or a DVD is being played. So yes I definitely would recommend this Player. Especially, because the price for such an excellent player could never be beat by any other player, for all it can do!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

terrible blue ray player

Always has to reconnect to wifi, which takes forever. Most of the time it's not able to connect. Not user friendly at all.
