being non electronic people - we held off buying a blu ray player for a long time - now we wish we hadn't - it was so easy to install....well, even I could do it! :) One wire - that's it - it took me 1/2 hour to realize I wasn't really missing some wires - this was the best buy we've made and very glad we chose a Sony product when we did!

Even though both of us are over 70, we have no difficulty in getting it to do what we want it to do, I.e. Netflix or play a DVD or Blueray disk. The quality of playback via HDMI port is excellent. I highly recommend this unit.

Replace two devices with this one player

I was able to replace a 5 disc dvd player and my Roku box with the Sony Blu-ray player. This device is much smaller than my previous dvd player and does all that both devices did before, plus it will play Blu-ray discs. I do not know how the Wi-Fi works as I have the player connected with an Ethernet cable. So far everything is working very well. I was impressed with the number of internet sites the player could connect to.
